I thought I'd start a thread to showcase some of the new resin bases being produced by Dragon Forge Design (link to the store). I'm just a fan, but since Dragon Forge is a one-man business I thought I'd help the owner (Jeff Wilhelm) out with gaining some visibility for his products. My ambition is to update this thread when new stuff becomes available. There are a ton of companies selling bases today, so it is a tough market, but Dragon Forge are my favorite brand. They are always very well cast, requiring basically no prep time before use, and are made out of a resin that feels solid and durable, which I really like. They are also always extremely convenient to mount miniatures on, something I have not always found to be the case with bases from competitor companies. Basically, I just think they are a really high quality product.

Anyway, over the last six months or so Jeff has really been widening his repertoire of base sizes, boosting many of his existing thematic sets with 32mm, 50mm, 55mm, 120mm, 130mm, and all those funny oval-shaped sizes which I think are a perfect fit for 40K bikes, imperial knights, and some of the new Age of Sigmar monsters. So I think he is now in a position to meet the need of many a GW or Infinity player. I'm mostly a lowly RPG player, they work great for that as well, but I'm also a collector of Darklands stuff from Mierce Miniatures and Dragon Forge can now meet all the base size requirements needed there as well.

EDIT 1st December: Kickstarter for expansion of the Goth-Tech line currently running!

Here are some of the newest offerings from Dragon Forge Design, but I encourage you to have a look yourself and check out the full range.

The "Yin-Yang" themed stuff from the Lost Empires series (a lot more stuff in this theme is forthcoming I think).

A ton of stuff has been added to the Az-Tech series.

The Ancient Ruins series has also been greatly expanded, actually with a whole new parallel series called Ancient Ruins II. These are among my personal favorites, and are what I'm using for my Darklands stuff.

Tons of differently sized and shaped bases have also been added to the Sanctuary series. This is another of my personal favorite, and I use them for all my D&D gaming pieces.

The Concrete Rubble has also been expanded.

And of course, Tech-Deck is another fine looking series.

I've had a few sets of these bases over the years and the casting quality is excellent. Now you are doing 32mm I will have to have a re look at the web store.

i've been buying my bases from Dragon Forge since the beginning, and have never had a bad cast...
they are my go-to company for bases, and i cannot say enough good things about Jeff's business...
it is great to see his continued success in a tough little niche business...
he is also one hell of a good painter and modeler, with a long string of Golden Demon awards under his belt:

it's always nice to be able to support a member of the community...

The Yinyang set isn't new. I bought a whole bag of them about two years back. I think the Tech-deck may have been around then too, but less sure on that one.

Oh yeah, for sure, the thematic series aren't new per se, but they have all been expanded with various new sizes. For the Yin-Yang theme, there are new items in both the beveled edged and round lipped edged categories: 32mm is new of course, and I think also there are new items in 50, 55 and 120mm. I don't own any of this series myself, but really like the look and have on order the 55mm base in the image I posted above. Now I just need to find a mini to go with it.

I've got a couple hundred of his wasteland series bases from a few years ago. Not one miscast out of all of them. Great communications from Jeff and the material is top notch stuff. Also it's well laid out where you can actually stand a model on the base instead of them hopping or tripping on the basing materials .

The 55 mm Yin- Yang base is a converted version based off the 60 mm base from the Lost Empires series. Was done at the request of some Infinity players. Was an easy conversion to do and created a nice base.

The 32 mm Tech-Deck are new. I have had 25 , 40 mm for years.

Tech-Deck is one of my ranges that recently had a Kickstarter campaign to add more sizes to the existing range. Ill start hipping the rewards soon to backers and then the sets will be added to the range.

Dragonforge bases are quite superior to most out there. Caveat is that you will need to expect up to a month for delivery as he does not keep stock on hand. He only makes bases as orders come in and sometimes he can get a little behind. But he does have a good record of always delivering and as long as you know what to expect, I say go for it. I bought enough to base my Cyriss army with them.

That is very true, you will have to wait at least a few weeks for your order, as Jeff is not able to keep stock of everything and therefore has to cast to order. So if you're looking for some bases for that project that needs to be finished before next weekend, Dragon Forge is probably not the way to go. That being said, I think Jeff does a good job of updating the webpage with where he's at in terms of orders shipped (and he always responds to emails as well). I've placed a number of orders over the last three years, have always received exactly what I ordered, and turned out very happy with the quality.

On another note, Dragon Forge will be transitioning over to a completely new website, with a planned launch date of November 1st. In the meantime, any size order placed now in September and October will receive a discount code of 10% off their first purchase from the new webshop (orders of $100 or more will receive a 15% discount code). This is therefore a very good time to get a little sampling order in if you want to try out Dragon Forge bases to see what they are like! (I updated the OP with this info as well.)

Dragon Forge bases are very good. The selection and price are above the rest.

An additional three mechadendrites up for Dragon Forge Designs from another happy customer.

Really good quality bases, and perhaps more importantly, they're well-designed. The surfaces are thought-out nicely to allow figures to fit, so there's no awkward balancing on pretty but badly-placed rocks.

The multi-part diorama bases are excellent, too.

A sampling of all the new stuff that's been showing up on the Dragon Forge Designs Facebook page. Some of these are works in progress, some are already up for preorder. I'm particularly excited about the 100 mm Ancient Ruins base myself, as that was the only one missing for complete coverage of the sizes needed for Darklands.

+1 from me as well. I have a Traitor Guard army based in the Concrete Rubble bases.

The power cables are also very awesome. Cast in a malleable metal, so you can adjust it as needed.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I just placed an order for a load of the Broken Wasteland bases, my experience with Dragon Forge bases in the past has been very positive.

The resin used is the perfect consistency, not too brittle and not too rubbery, perfect castings.

Jeff has just launched his fourth Kickstarter, an expansion of the Goth-Tech line. I'm mostly a fantasy guy myself, but I'm thinking these could be very nice for some steam-punky stuff or certain flavors of 40K. Check it out!

A bunch of the existing Goth-Tech bases have been included as possible add-ons; I think this was a good idea as it makes things more versatile with regards to base sizes (25 mm is now available). I personally like the design of the existing bases slightly better than the new ones, and I could see many of these working great for some modern day zombie apocalypse stuff, and not necessarily just steampunk etc. Really hoping this makes it to funding!

I really, really like Jeff's bases, and have based entire armies with them.

I really wish he would make entire bases out of that mesh/grating he put on the new bases, or even the diamond plate. Making base inserts or toppers would be super also!

Was looking into the website and it looks like there's about a 2.5 - 3 month wait if you order from the site to get your bases shipped (he's currently shipping orders from the beginning of August).

Not that that's a problem necessarily, just FYI in case folks wanted to get one of the non-Kickstarter sets (which I may end up doing).

yes, there is about a 2 month turnaround on the webstore, but if your after a special order and need it quickly Jeff (the owner) will work with you to complete it as quick as possible!

Ah, I placed an order in mid-September and, while I wasn't expecting it to rock up straight away by any means, I was thinking a month/month and a half would be about right.

Well, a little longer's no problem, not even close to a time-sensitive project.
