Ok so this is using the PPC comp set and I have found it to work exceptionally well, Hero's: Arkhan the Black=420 pts plus Will of Nagash= 520, Tyrant with massive ogre club=190, Core: 1 Morghast Harbinger=120 pts, 2x units of 5 Ironguts with Gutlords=712, Monster: Thundertusk=460 pts

Technically the list is 2002 points but every opponent I've asked has been ok with that, thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Its a good list, but I'm not sure its a very fun one. It seems like it would produce a lot of one-sided games based on if the opponent actually has the tools to deal with what you brought. If they don't its an easy victory for you, if they did manage to bring enough hard counters then its the opposite. Its also the type of list that highlights the issues with rolling initiative every turn since it looks prone to win games by getting a lucky double-turn or lose them if your opponent did. The 2 extra points isn't a huge deal since you can just drop one gutlord. A bigger issue is that your opponent needs to agree to multiple army books. At the end of the day it depends on what you want to use it for. Looking across the table at a tournament I would see this as an interesting challenge and well-designed list. In a casual game I would just concede and go find another match.

I agree with you and I've been using it for a league that we're doing leading into a tournament as such our league has already established that multiple army books are fine and that the tournament would be the same way. For casual games I run just pure Ogres and everyone I've played has had a lot of fun, even with the league games I make sure that my opponents don't feel like they aren't having fun if for whatever reason they aren't I'll ask them if they would like to restart and that I'll take just ogres. As for rolling initiative I leave it to my opponent to decide if they want to go with fixed turns or roll.

Well personally I go into tournaments expecting to see optimized lists even if I didn't bring one myself, that's why I have such a different opinion based on the context. It looks like a great list for a tournament, though there is definitely a weakness to ranged, highly mobile, and/or msu based enemies. Might consider dropping one irongut unit down to three and getting some bat swarms to fill the 'small annoying support unit' role and then use summoning to pad things out as opposed to being your only source of support units. Reaper's bat swarms are in bones as I recall, and make a good stand in for the horror of GW's bat models.
