Hello gents and gals

My husband is planning to make an dark angels army and i want (in secrecy) make an army of fallen, just to mock him abit.

So the general idea is to make it out kitbash some chaos marines, 30k marines and dark angels bits.

But as there is little info or pictures so i was wondering what color should i use for the armour and vehicles?

And is it okay (fluffwise) to make fallen ravenwing? And if so. What codex would you use for a falle army. Chaos or Dark Angels?

And lasty... Would the fallen been tainted by chaos (mutation and such)

Fallen Angels don't look like CSM that much. In fact, fluff for them now is scarce.

I highly reccomend you pick up some standard DA kits but paint them black with a greenish wash, not GW puke green, and make sure you take Cypher for maximum rage, because he revives himself on a 4+.

Oh, and Death/Ravenwing were set up after the heresy IIRC, don't quote me on that.

Unfortunately you must use the CSM codex with Mark of Slaanesh.

Check Aaron Dempski Bowdens blog, he's got a few picture of fallen DA on there, and links to the guy who made them.
They're the most beautiful conversions I've ever seen.
Ever.

- 10000+ pts
Imperial Knights- 5 Standard Knights / 3 Cerastus Knights
Officio Assassinorum - 4 Assassins
CSM - 500pts? Maybe? Its from the Officio Assassinorum box so I'm pretty sure its not enough to run in a CAD
Vampire Lords- I have no idea I bought it like two days before I left country and they're still in storage so I'll have to see when I get back.]

For gameplay: Have a look at the cypher dataslate.
This has everything you need to play what you are proposing in a game. Don't expect it to be too competitive though.

For modeling: dark angel veterans might be the best base to work from.

For colour schemes you can start by looking here: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dark_Angels
Pre-heresy dark angels are black as opposed to dark green.

I am building some Chosen to go with Cypher, and I wanted robed Marines. However, other than buying the DA veterans kits, those bits aren't selling elsewhere. I found Spellcrow Miniatures, they have robed "Space Knights". I just got mine built and primed last night, and the models are great.

Heresy Era dark angels all wore black. Then the newer ones raised on caliban wore black with a green shoulder pad to denote their homeworld. Then the Calibanites wore all green.

So technically the traitors wore green to start with, which is highly amusing to me. But basically, model them how you'd like to be honest.

Sources are the HH series books and audio dramas in case anyone asks.
