Long time no see! Been off playing a bunch of X-wing and Armada and what not having given up completely on 40k/GW. Age of Sigmar gaining a swell of interest in my area combined with not having built/kitbashed a model in a while on top of new Tau reveals has me nodding around a bit.

Tried using the search function but as usual it's not exactly helpful. So was looking for some directions to threads about AoS fan rewrites of 40k or discussions about the possibility of it. Tried a version ourselves with marginal success and was looking for insight and inspiration. Hoping to find some less flame rage than what I've been warned about in person.

As usual all your help is appreciated and Fly Casual. Or maybe dakka casual? Yeah but don't look like your trying to dakka casual.

I have not heard of such a thing but would be curious about what people come up with. The real appeal of AOS is the simplification of the rules, but I have a hard time seeing the ways where 40k can be simplified.

Making your own AoS version of 40+ should be real easy. 40k stats and Wfb stats used to follow almost the same rules. Just look at how comparable units have been converted. And use those sigmaries as the space marine standard.

I'mm not going to write it for you since well I would rather play games like necromunda, spacehulk or gorkamorka instead.

Enough poking around yesterday brought me to the AoS section after about two hours browsing where I found what I was looking for sorta. Not as much as I was hoping but it's here.

The problem we had found was that AoS wasn't meshing well with heavy shooting stuff. Needs some serious modification in that regard. Some are finding ways to compensate.

But there's definitely an interest in the crossover rule potential!

WHFB was probably more complicated than 40k and it got AoS, if GW really wants to they will destroy the game, hopefully they won't.
