The Idea is to stick the Webway Blaster Archons each with a unit of Blasterborn, and keep them all in a raider, in reserves for a precision deepstrike. Along with them in reserve I obviously have my three flyers aswell. So as you can see I have quite a bit of my army in reserve, 1100 points to be exact. Leaving me with only 750pts to start on the board, that will at times have to survive atleast two full turns of enemy firepower, against armies more then twice its point value.

This is were Venoms shine I believe, cheap, deadly-AI, which when taken in mass provide great target saturation. I would be setting up 10xVenoms, with 2xLhameans and two of the 5xKabalite Warriors embarked on 4 of them. Thats all I would have to place during deployment, pretty much keeping them spread out and hidden, regardless of starting first or second. Survival, especially when going second is the priority, they will be able to throw down some great AI firepower if given the opportunity though.

Once my Reserves arrive, hopefully all together thanks to my comms relay, I pounce with everything I have, no more hidding. Pretty straight forward strategy. Just looking for some opinions, think an army like this could work?

Bush? No, Eldar Ranger

Edit: nvm, saw that you were sticking the trueborn in raiders, not venoms

I think it's got potential. It's obviously nasty vs anything with toughness, even bikes and it has answers to fmc's. The main issues are full mechanized infantry aka gladius and WKs. Volume of splinter fire and blasterborn might be enough for a WK but the army will struggle against mech especially when it's obsec.

For suggestions consider losing the VRB and a venom to fit a 3rd razorwing (I assume the voidraven was due to slots) or even just lose the bomber for a disi ravager or two.

The ADL I'd change to a wam bunker with comms. Av14 5hp and it can activate its own comms and score an objective. Just don't deploy the comms on the battlements. Instead put it within 2" so it can't be destroyed (debris).

Some other ideas would be at least one unit of mandrakes. Not only do they push back scout armies and drop pods LZs but they can be hard to dig out for formations like skyhammer that invariably come equipped with grav/melta.

On that note I can also recommend sslyth for similar purpose. Depends on how many alpha strike dpa armies you intend to face but if do then a t5 court gtg in cover really solidifies your strategy, even allowing you to reserve-all yourself.. minus a few key elements.

Anyway none of these addresses mech which wouldtake more dark light (doubles vs wk) and probably 2 units of hwb scourges for starters.
Anyway on my phone that's what I got for now.

Don't like the Voidraven? I have to be honest it was a bit of an aesthetic choice. But I figured I have so much AI already, that the higher quality lance attacks coupled with the bomb might be more useful, and I am focused on quality lance over quantity. Plus the Voidraven can target AT right away out of reserves, while the Ravenwings will help the remaining venoms with AI, before switching to AT targets later once its missles are used.

I like the bunker idea over the ADL, I didnt even realize you could place the comms relay outside the bunker. All I wanted was an indestructible relay, so thats perfect. I have about 20 points of wiggle room for small adjustments by removing the splinter cannons from the Ravenwings, so a bunker would definitely be better.

Thanks for your input though, I definitely like your ideas, especially the mandrakes, and scourges. Mandrakes would fit the theme of my army and have an important role to play, I like the idea of adding hwb scourges best though. Dropping two venoms along with ravenwing splinter cannons could get me a 5 man scourge unit with 4 haywireblasters, might make my army a little more will rounded.
