On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Hey guys,

Was thinking of trying to adapt my existing FoW WW2 terrain for use with Team Tankee when that is released.

Does anyone know of any quality 15mm terrain modern building that is fit for purpose?

So far I have found the following:

Sally 4th: http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/15mm-Modern-Buildings
Spoiler:

Gamecraft (probably my current pick as I've got some stuff from them before and it was pretty good)
http://gcmini.mybigcommerce.com/15mm/

Another option would be HO scale model railway terrain - although I believe that's slightly off scale so not sure how well that would work.

Anyway, very grateful for people's input !

There are some modern looking paper building templates here

There's templates for 48 older German buildings here, but you may need to adjust the scale.

I think a lot of WWII era buidlings are still useful for Cold War era wargaming in Europe. Other than area bombed out during WWII, a lot of the same buildings are still there.

As noted above, most World War II-era buildings will work just fine for 1980s Europe. The changes will largely be in the mix of more modern buildings that have sprung up in the meantime - gas stations, for instance. Breakthrough Assault had a brief post about the terrain that you can check if you want.

Battlefront had some plastic terrain that was scheduled for release, including autobahn segments. But given the issues that they've had with production this year, it's anyone's guess whether the terrain will be released alongside Team Yankee.

That's interesting to know Eumerin.

Many thanks for the replies guys. I know I can use WWII terrain, but I really enjoy theming terrain so I would love to make this much more modern-specific.

Does anyone know how HO-scale model railway terrain scales with 10mm? There is some cracking stuff out there which is very reasonably priced (and might help me get a decent board finished within the next 3 years..)

First, Flames of War is not 10mm. Battlefront bills it as 1:100 scale, which is roughly 15mm.

HO scale works out to be roughly 1:87 scale.

Yep, thanks sorry typo on my part.

That sounds pretty close (close enough to get a cheap kit and see how it scales.)

The closest railroad scale would be TT.

HO is a lot easier to find though.
