I purchased 3 mats from Gamemat.eu, and thought I'd share my thoughts, experience, and some photos.

So first off, the actual mats. This is what we care about most, right? So since a picture is worth a thousand words, here are a bunch:

I don't have an ideal setup for photographing 6x4 tables, because I normally do my photography in my upstairs home area where I do my painting, and all my gaming stuff large enough to place a 6x4 is in the basement. I'm too lazy to cart down a light stands, cameras, lenses, and tripods up and down flights of stairs and set them all up to take photos of the mats, so the lighting is a little uneven here, and some of the detail isn't as crisp as it could be, and the color isn't 100% accurate, but it's pretty close, and I think you can get a pretty good idea with these.

customer service was excellent. Matous responded really quickly here on Dakka ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/user/profile/86085.page ) to help me choose a mat; and then later by email, he was extremely responsive. The price was really reasonable, I thought. Even though it says 69 euro, when you go to pay for it, it comes out to the price without VAT (if you're not in the Eurozone), which is 57 euro. Delivery to Canada was 25 Euro, and that was by FedEx, with a tracking number and all that good stuff. FedEx tracking is a good thing too, because someone needs to be there to sign for it. The website as easy to use, though curiously, there is nowhere to put state or province

The mats come in simple cardboard boxes; nothing glorious, but it works. Matous was kind enough to throw in one storage tube -- a 4' coardboard tube with plastic caps on either end -- nothing fancy, but it's ideal if you need to take it somewhere for gaming. A pretty good idea, and I'll probably buy a couple more here, locally.

My first impression as I rolled them out was that I really like them. They have a nice, grippy rubber back, they roll up well, and the surface is a fantastic, matte texture that feels like a high end mouse pad, and my first impression of the printing is, "Nice!". When I first unrolled them, it lay perfectly flat, but I could just barely see some ripples in the material. However, after being left there overnight, flat, these disappeared. I've since rolled and unrolled the mats quite a few times, and haven't seen them again. Like every other gaming mat that isn't vinyl it's pretty heavy, and I wouldn't want to transport it without a car.

The printing is very sharp, and models look really good on them. As you can see on the extreme closeups, the printing is clear, contrasty, and artifact-free. Because we tend to play with quite a bit of terrain, I chose mats that are more neutral and provide freedom to place terrain, but Gamemat.eu has one called Quarantine Zone that has features like roads and more intricate designs if that's your thing. I'll probably pick one of those up, just to have it and for quick setup when we don't want to spend hours laying out a game table. All in all, I'm very happy with the artwork.

In terms of the 3 that I purchased, my favorite is Battleground. It's a nice, neutral "cracked earth" mat with plenty of interesting features that looks good with all sorts of different stuff on it. As you can see on the photo, one side of the map features some foliage, which breaks up the color without getting too busy.

The Sands of Time map is really cool too: it's a nice desert map that is, again, very easy to make work with your terrain. The third mat, Fallen Earth, is a brand new one that features lava cracks. The ground takes a dark navy tone, which contrasts with the red lava, and shows off certain models really well. My wife loves her Sigmarites on it, and I think it looks great for Age of Sigmar.

It's worth mentioning that Fallen Earth is also really nice as a "permanent table mat" to put OTHER board game stuff on too; for example, those Calth tiles look really sharp on it.

So -- to wrap it up... I recommend these guys! Delivery and the product are both great, the price is very reasonable, and the folks are very helpful; what else can you ask for, right? Next mats for me from them... Snow Storm, I think! I don't have a winter map, and seeing the Army of the Month in Warhammer Visions 22 in a winter setting gave me the urge to paint up some space wolves. After Calth...
