Long time lurker on this wonderful forum. I have several AoS armies going now, including an Ogre project, an undead army, and this daemon army. I thought I would begin the process of documenting my progress on all three, so stay tuned!

I have always loved Khorne, Such a cruel and brutal god. I have had CSM, Daemonkin, Daemons and everything in between in devotion to Khorne. I have always been inspired by the projects I have seen here, and as such I thought I would in turn share some of the work I have done, heavily inspired by many of the amazing threads here.

Bloodthirster (Counts as Skarbrand). Roark Junior. Based on the Forge World Khorne Daemon Prince, added some wings, and a second axe from the Bloodthirster kit.

Bloodthirster 2 - Silas Aringarosa. Converted from a Balrog, and Chronoscope miniature.

Kytan Engine (Counts as Soul Grinder) Cain Marko. Converted from a Khorne Lord of Skulls and legs are scratchbuilt/converted from Spawn action figure

C&C is welcome, and thank you for looking!
I currently have 2 squads of 10 Blood letters painted, a Skulltaker, 3 Flamers of Tzeentch, and 5 spawn of Chaos
Left to do: My counts as Kairos Fateweaver, 3 more Flamers

Looks good so far, keep it up! However, Khorne will hunt you down if you put wimpy psykers or wussy slaaneshi near his stuff

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Khorne is not known to be merciful, I prepare myself for his wrath! The following offering of 20 blood letters will certainly not appease him for the rest of this post...

The Red Bloodletters

The Green Bloodletters

As mentioned, Khorne is likely going to come for me, but I test painted a Tzeentch Flamer, and this was the result.

Only 5 more to go!

Speaking of Tzeentch, I plan on fielding Kairos Fateweaver, so I needed to make some Chaos Spawn. As such, I did not like the current offering of models, so I had some nids left around. I decided to give them a rainbow type paint job.
Behold, the rainbow inspired counts as Chaos Spawn (Tyranid Genestealers)

Currently still have quite a big list of stuff to paint. I have a recently converted Tzeentch lord on Disk, 5 more Flamers, A converted and custom Karnak, Khorne Hounds, and 7 more Blue Bloodletters.
I also have a fun scratch built Kairos Fateweaver, and have another Bloodthirster to complete.

I will try to get an army of all the progress soon. Thanks for looking!

Pretty wacky colours! Makes for a much more visually interesting Khorne army than the usual "blood, brass and blood".

The second bloodthirster is an awesome conversion, but the skin colour is my favourite thing about it.

Pretty wacky colours!

Thanks, I am going for a technicolor dream coat approach I just like the idea of lots of different daemon colors. I liked the looks of the new GW packaging with the Golden Daemon painting various models, and decided to go with a yellow Thirster, from there it sort of evolved; I had recently completed a FW Khorne Daemonkin army with the traditional Khorne colors, and decided I wanted to do some Green Letters. When Tzeentch was brought into the mix, the entire concept.....changed (see what I did there)

Today a very simple Skulltaker. As with a lot of this army, I decided to use a different model. This is the Forge World herald of Khorne. I liked his size, as he is about 1.5x the size of a regular letter. No real conversion to speak, except that I swapped a regular letter sword for the FW one, as it was very poorly cast. The skullcloak is more or less represented by the base he is standing on, and I have played around with the idea of modelling a more proper one out of some extra bits, but we shall see in the future.

In the meantime, here is my countsas Skulltaker

I finished 2 more of the flamers, which I will post pictures of soon. I am going to start working on the Tzeentch lord next
Until next time, thanks for looking!

I finished up 2 more flamers, rounding out the first squad. Here are the results.

As promised here is a sneak peek of the Tzeentch Lord on Disc

His disc is based on parts from the Khorne Lord of Skulls cannon, as well as some left over bases.

Until next time Thanks for looking!

So this thread has been quiet for a while, but not forgotten. My update is a completely scratch built Emrakul. Emrakul is an Eldrazi in Magic the Gathering, and is going to be featured in the upcoming set. In its honor, I decided to make a Tzeentch daemon worthy of Emrakul. in the game it will likely be my counts as Kairos Fateweaver. I scratch built the entire thing out of Procreate and Milliput. It was painted in Tzeentch colors, which coincide with the colors it normally is.

Without further ado, my Emrakul.

C&C Welcome. Thanks for looking!

Thank you for the feedback. I posted this elsewhere, and it has been recommended that I grab some pink horrors and make them into Eldrazi Spawn. I think this is a great idea, and I am going to plan on getting to work on that once I finish another daemon project.

Cheers

They would indeed look absolutely great with the same paintjob. I am not very familiar enough with MTG to suggest a proper creature, but surely there are close flyers that could join the lot as count-as Tzeentch flamers.

Here is a group shot of the burgeoning Tzeentch force. 6 completed flamers, the counts-as spawn, and the counts-as Kairos Fatewever.

In addition, I finally got around to painting my forgeworld Elemental Incarnate of Fire. I went with an attempt to making it OSL, but it needs a little more touch up to complete it.

Currently working on a small nurgle expansion, and trying to get my hands on Be'lakor to lead my growing force (looking more and more like undivided).

Your Tzeentch colours look like a kid threw up their fairy floss. Thats a good thing! I genuinely feel a little sick looking at them. More!

Nothing to see here, move along mortal.

Thanks! That is what I was going for, I appreciate the feedback. I wanted something "technicolor dreamcoat-esque". I am glad that it came across that way

Thank you for the kind words! The disk was scratch built from old parts and the rider is a bloodletter arm + titan forge model

I have a bit of an update. Here is another bloodthirster model. He is the Bloodthirster of Unfettered Fury. He is based on ghorgon legs, soul grinder torso, mauler fiend arms, custom whip, custom head, and lord of skulls decorations. I decided to go with traditional red skin, but tie him into some of the similar greens and blues that are now being found across this chaotic army. Thanks for looking!

Thank you for the positive feedback! One cannot have too many bloodthristers (this is number 3 for this army).

Hello my name is Lorax, and I have an update problem. The army is coming along rather nicely since April 8! I have been very busy going down the path with Nurgle now. Currently have completed 20 plague bearers, 3 plague drones, 3 nurglings, and 1 herald of nurgle (Start collecting Nurgle Box). In addition I have 10/30 Blightkings painted and ready to go, based the soul grinder, paitned my tzneetch guy (counts as Sayl the Faithless), updated the boodthirster with the whip (changed into my counts as Skaarac), updated the yellow blood thirster (now my counts as Skarbrand with wings removed).. Still in the process of the other 20/30 for paint (assembled). I also whipped up a scratch built Great Unclean one (GUO). My GUO is based on 3 kits mostly. First is the head/spikes from the Glottkin. Next is the body mostly from the maggoth lord, including one arm. The legs are from the Zombie Dragon/Terrorgheist. The flail arm (censor) is a combination of Glottkin flail and the the plague furnace. The sword is a combination of a soulgrinder bit and some other parts. Lastly, I decided to go with a bell in the chest cavity. There is a putrid blightking that this is modeled after, and I really just liked the look of it.

Pictures!

Note that you can see one of the plaguebearers and one of the blightkings in the scale photo.
Thanks for looking!
