If you were at WMW you might know that I ran the photography classes in the hobby lounge.

I also did the official pictures of the models in the painting competition.

If you want to see some incredible models here is the facebook link to the Warmachine Weekend facebook post. (not gonna post all 100+ in here).

This should shut people up when they claim there is no hobby aspect to warmachine.

Thst undead cygnar army is amazing.

Miniature painters are starting to really sink their teeth into the PP sculpts. The hobby lounge was full most of the time and the painting classes were full.

That Cygnar army wasn't even an entry into the competition. Andy and Explosivo found the guy playing it in the iron arena and asked if we could take pictures of it.

I'm not surprised darefsky. Despite what the Internet will say, I've seen some truly stunning looking armies and conversions for warmachine.

Agreed. And I didn't see any bare metal or all grey armies at WMW. A lot more people paint than are given credit for. Also I think that the league rules that now give points for painting has helped that too.

What sucks for me personally is that I try to promote it here in Dakka by putting my stuff in the show case and it usually gets over looked for yet another space marine!

@Darefsky: Cracking pictures.

Question about WMW though... if you attend but don't game much... is there enough hobby content to make it worthwhile?

That's your call man. The hobby lounge was open 24/7 there were classes between 9am up till about 10pm. Lots of board/card games were being played. And of course there was a lot of drinking and plenty of Warmachine.
