Howdy all,
I've always felt that 28
mm is too big a scale for
40k/30k and that playing on that scale on a 4
ft table just feels cramped. 15mm would allow for suitably large battles without the loss of detail that can happen at 6
mm scale (Epic). I'm starting off by scratch building the vehicles and am then going to mold and cast them in resin.
I've got a lot of inspiration from Dan at Gunners Wargaming. He's done some really cool stuff if you are interested and want to check it out:

Starting off, here's the first model, a 15mm scale rhino.
Start off by cutting out the side from card and using beads to make the running gear and use as spacers:
Add the next layer of card to the side:
Start to put the tracks on:
Further detail the tracks and add the door:
Add further detail, smoke stacks, and the running boards.
Start work on the chassis:
Add the front plate and top hatch:
Cupola and bolters:
Assembled!
Model to show scale:
Once the chassis is cast up, I can start work on the other rhino derivatives, such as the predator, whirlwind, ect.

Right, just an update. Been working on the land raider. Not that happy with the las cannons, so they will probably get tore off and redone, and I need to add more track bogies, as the tracks are floating a bit right now.
Anyway, less talk, more pics.
