Hi All,

I love the Iyanden fluff and the Wraith models, and with Black Friday deals (apparently) on the horizon I was hoping to put together a succinct yet competitive list. However, I have no experience with Eldar at all so welcome any and all comments on the list below. I generally play Space Wolves casually so I'm not looking for a tournament list, but first impressions are that this could be a bit more powerful than I'm used to...

Generally one Farseer with one Windriders, one Warlock with Windriders, one Vyper follows the last Windriders - the Farseer buffs/debuffs whatever needs it and thanks to the Tempest of Blades SR (all Shuriken weapons have Shred for one turn) they can zoom up and weaken the enemies and/or finish off whatever the Wraithguard decimate Turn 1, and then proceed to claim back field objectives thanks to Turbo Boost. The Wraithguard (Cannons & D-Scythes) with the Spiritseer attached to one squad zoom up in the Wave Serpents, disembark 6" and then thanks to Matchless Agility SR (automatically run 6" instead of rolling D6) and Battle Focus from the Wraith Host detachment this means they can run a further 6" and shoot, whilst benefiting from the Guided Wraithsight SR (re-roll failed to hit within 18" of the Spiritseer) and decimating the front lines Turn 1. The Wraithknight and Wraithlord (also with Battle Focus) move and run 12" combined whilst shooting their ant-armour weapons. The remaining Wraithblades surround the Wraithlord conveying a cover save whilst running alongside.

CRAFTWORLD WARHOST (1853 PTS)

WINDRIDER HOST (483 PTS)

- Farseer, Singing Spear, Farseer Skyrunner, The Spirit Stone of Anath'lan (135)
- Warlock Conclave, Singing Spear, Warlock Skyrunner (55)
- Windriders, Shuriken Cannon x3 (81)
- Windriders, Shuriken Cannon x3 (81)
- Windriders, Shuriken Cannon x3 (81)
- Vyper Squadron, Shuriken Cannon (50)

WRAITH HOST (1370 PTS)

- Spiritseer (70)
- Wraithguard, Wraithcannons (160)
- Wave Serpent, Twin-Linked Starcannon, Shuriken Cannon, Holo-Fields (140)
- Wraithguard, D-Scythes (210)
- Wave Serpent, Twin-Linked Starcannon, Shuriken Cannon, Holo-Fields (140)
- Wraithblades, Ghost Axe & Forceshield (150)
- Wraithlord, Flamer x2, Ghostglaive, Bright Lance x2 (165)
- Wraithknight, Heavy Wraithcannons, Starcannon x2 (335)

If anyone has any feedback or suggestions on the following specifically that would be much appreciated!

- What to drop (if it's worth it) to get a third Wave Serpent for the Wraithblades?
- Brightlances or Starcannons, in what combination and on what?
- Is it worth putting Scatter Lasers on one set of Windriders, or is the SR worth more?
- Heavy Wraithcannons or Ghostglaive on the Wraithknight?
- D-Scythes on both sets of Wraithguard?
- Are the Wraithblades wasted running, would they be better served being Wraithguard to deal with Deep Strike?
- Is it worth considering dropping upgrades and a Wave Serpent to get a Hemlock Wraithfighter in there?
- In terms of AA... we're basically ignoring it completely (Wraithfighter or no).

P.S. Yes I know I'm 3PTS over, anyone I play would let me have them, but drop the Shining Spear from the Warlock it if makes you feel better...

The warlock cant join the windriders since it is not an independent character but a unit on its own.
I have been thinking of doing a similar list very much because of the benefits you get from the formations, you get both battle focus and you always run 6"... those two benefits alone makes it really worth it.
I was kind of toying with the idea to drop the serpents all together and get bigger wraithguard squads. If the warlord happens to roll the trait where you get to scout d3 units you should be able to get those units close enough to do damage first turn... Spiritseer getting +3" move and protect would also work nicely.
Could even shave points off the jetbikes as well, and just keep those around as objective grabbers. Cannons are good though. Scatters are good if you want to keep the bikes far back, jumping into cover after shooting. But I prefere cannons due to bladestorm and the formation-boost.
