So, what do you all think? I cant paint pea dot in a way I'm happy with, so all the cano will be either summer or autum oak leaf, with some if the shirts and trousers staying field grey to show there isn't quite enough to go around.

Hard to tell with the glare of the flash, but from what I can see you've got that looking very nice.

Did the SS box as a commission job a few years back and it drove me nuts doing them all, you are brave for even attempting it but they look wonderful

I'm actually thinking of making the Camo denser, and I have a full three platoon army to paint yet XD

I'd leave it at that, denser camo I don't think would look better, indeed could look a lot worse especially from a distance - the way you have it gets the look and feel of it nicely.

Do camo 'right' at this scale and you may as well mix the paints in the right ratio in a single pot, spray it on and wash it.

You have the right look of it, I;d stick with it - the layering on it works very nicely

I'll try it over a layered model next. Try to get a little bit of shading in the recesses

To get shading on camo at 15mm, a thin brown wash is often easier than shading. I use the GW brown wash on 15mm camo...

Photos are just as bad, but heres one of oak leaf with shading, and my newer, better attempt at pea dot.

Thoughts?

You've got the illusion of the SS camo pattern. It's excellent. Very good job.
