Not on your life. Considering the gakky way All Quiet ended up, the terrible failure of the Crush of Iron KS, and the company going poof... I just don't have any confidence in these folks right now.

I don't know anything about what NewTruth is talking about but if I were going 15mm fantasy I'd give it a look. Given that there's apparently some scandal, I'd likely only place a small order to test the waters.

If you go back and read about how the company left angry, "mostly" fulfilled KS-ers, and communicated not at all, you would realize giving these folks money right now would be madness.

It appears Ed is heading up this line now and that the concept for the game that the KS was to be distributed by AD originally. Ed worked for AD/AOW so I can see the hesitation there with how that all ended up - I was a backer of AQMF KS and I criticized the COI KS when it went live due to the ongoing issues with AD fullfillment of All Quiet.

From the dialogue I've seen thus far on this, it appears Ed's distanced himself from AD at this point(rightly so) and to his credit, he's not using KS right off the bat to send these figures off into the market. I can respect that. I've also read Old Glory is providing space for Ed to do his thing which should help with capacity concerns. Its quite a niche market so will be interesting to see what happens here nonetheless.

The rules seem pretty damn good. Reminiscent of Warmaster, but definitely improved.

As for stability, that remains to be seen. A roll out without a KS is respectable, however, as models are already shipping and fans are posting painted pics.

I am looking at KoW in 15mm, and some of these, especially the Dwarves, would be great.

I don't like the large numbers-only packs, though. They are a great price, but I don't want to have to buy 35 figures of the same type at a time. Packs of 10 or more woild really have me looking.

Note they are adjusting the infantry base size on this to 40mm x 40mm most likely, per fan requests.

That way you can more easily use them for other game systems.

I understand man -- The whole debacle was a dissapoint, and it will be interesting to see if Ed learned his lesson, or was a part of ours.

I'm just curious about this -- I love the figs, but I'm so balls deep in Kings of War and Age of Sigmar I doubt I have a spare space for even 15mm in my life.

Now, I DO have a spare 6mm space in my heart for Age of Tryants :-)

It is encouraging, however, That Battle Valor games is adding minis for sale nearly daily and may not bother with a kickstarter. I think trust would be a factor in a KS from former Alien Dungeon staff. Thankfully, proper communication combined with a range of models delivered in a few days seems to be winning people over gradually.
At least in the niche 15mm market.
