Has anyone purchased the Strikeforce Daggerfist bundle, do we have any information on the formation and perks?

They aren't preorder any more are they? I thought by now someone would have gotten their hands on one.

Maybe they will just throw the formation up on itunes for 4.99 or something.

I wouldn't count on many people buying it given it saves you no money and contains models most people don't want to buy in the first place.

I remember someone saying that it got sold out really quick.
However unlikely, I'm still holding out hope that it is decent...

Yeah I'd seen/read that it sold out as well, which is why it's so odd the rules don't seem to have appeared yet! I think it will be pretty decent, if expensive pointswise. All I can read on the GW page is Kingsguard (+1 WS)? For the wolf guard...

Why wouldnt people want to play with terminators, new wulfen, and a murderfang, especially if they somehow give them rules to be competitive. I can't speak for all SW players, but I would love the opportunity to leave TWC on the shelf.

The only problem I see is unlike the Skyhammer, which is both awesome and relatively cheaper in points, the Daggerfist seems to be an 1850 army by itself-

3x5 Termies with upgrades (if you want a heavy weapon) is around 250 each squad
5 wulfen will be close to 250 if you want a few storm shields
Flyer is around 250
Murderfang 150
Wolfguard 150

Now, I didnt put approx points and you could definitely shave some off but thats around 1500 pts easily, not many points left over to add any impact units.

Correct me if I'm wrong.... but isn't it just a web bundle with a page of rules thrown in? How could it sell out? The only way it could sell out was if one of the boxes that make up the bundle sells out?

Well Terminators in general suck and if you're going to buy nearly $400 of models, not get ANY discount sucks, you're probably paying ~$80-100 for a single sheet of rules given how much you'd save buying the models elsewhere.

The rules themselves sell out. Those bundle rules tend to be a notch better than the "mass produced" Codex rules and GW is banking on selling power to make people buy models that they otherwise already have.

The sad part is this actually works.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Sorry - all I meant was that I saw on the US site it said 'sold out' back when the preorders went up. I presume they just had a 'limited' stock and needed to update the site after those ones had sold?

And yes, I think people are expecting all the web bundles to be more 'pay to win' in their rules aka the Skyhammer one. But I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Likely it was a glitch in the system. It includes two sets of Wolf Guard, which were going up for preorder and thus "out of stock".

Hah. People didn't see the Cohort Mechanicus rules then.

The rules quality of these is highly variable. Skyhammer is really the only one that is up there, and a large part of that comes from the debate about whether or not an IC that joins gets to benefit from the Assault Squad rule.

The termies and flyer thing had my attention, then I read about the stupid werewolves and changed my mind. But if it saves no money then it really doesn't matter anyway. Are the skyhammer rules available outside of buying the box?

Infantrymen do not die, they go to heaven and regroup.

Not legally. And that box is long since gone.

No different than any of the other formations people have sold their soul for. Riptide Formation (Remember when unbound first came out and people suggested 9 Riptides and everyone exclaimed that no one would buy that many Riptides and even if you did, you would be "that guy"), the SM flyer formation, the double demi SM formation (no one will buy THAT many vehicles right?)- the simple fact is, whether the formation is limited edition and comes in a box, or is in a supplement, GW has found an easy way to sell us lots of models we wouldnt otherwise buy.
