Hey, guys (and gals). We’ve been here almost a week now, and it’s been great fun. We’ve especially enjoyed seeing pictures of your miniatures and generally soaking up your enthusiasm for all things Age of Sigmar.
Among all the threads, one question has cropped up a lot:
FAQs - when will they be updated?
You guys are right, the FAQs need updated and soon. In fact, you made so many good points we thought we might tackle this one together.
What rules question do you want clearing up? That’s right, just one question each (though feel free to ask your mum, brother or dog to submit another question on your behalf). Write your question as a comment below and we’ll go harangue the rules guys into writing an answer. Once we’ve got their answers, we’ll post them back here for you to download. This might take us a couple of weeks but we’ll keep you updated on any progress. In the meantime, you can settle any disputes in the time-honoured tradition of Rock, Paper, Sigmarite-steel.

let's hope this is a success and repeated

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

They've already made amendments to warscrolls online/in the app, and they've updated the hints/tips in the books as time's gone on.
Interesting acid test for the rules-are-free model, especially as the only common main rule that gets queried is summoning, everything else seems to be warscroll based.
E.g. will they do an FAQ document, or simply update the relevant rules/warscroll and have a list of changes document?

Hmm, I'm going to dwell on which question to ask. Maybe if models can "orbit" in the piling-in phase to allow room for others, or perhaps if pile-ins have to be in a direct straight line or not...

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

That is a nice question me thinks.

My question was regarding the warmachines and crew... you know whether they two seperate units (and thus targeted seperately) or they are a single unit.

I'd be extremely surprised if they're not separate. They break too many in-game rules as a solo unit for it to be an oversight, even before specific warscroll examples.
But again, it's a good question to ask.

The crazy part on this one is that some Warmachines are written differently in set up than others. It would be nice if they were adjusted to all be treated the same for consistency and then addressed in regards to attention (if applicable).

If they provide FAQ's, are the main events still going to house rule everything else?

4 pages of rules and 16 pages of FAQs?

Except those generally aren't FAQ's, they're amendments (shooting in combat, not rolling for initiative, etc.)
FAQ's clarify or correct poor/ambiguous wording, they rarely change the intent.

Cool. They answered if a model is within X inches of itself. The answer is YES.

No pile-in if b2b, warmachine & crew are separate, no restrictions on what/how much summoning, hills don't give cover, spells stack... yup, pretty happy with this so far.

Can't wait for someone to pick fault with the inclusion of the "red or brown sauce?" question and run with it as evidence the studio hate us...

I'm furious about it to be honest with you. Can't believe they favour Khorne all the way to sandwiches! What happened to green, blue or pink sauce? GW might as well throw away all the other chaos gods if everything on bacon has to be red.

TBF your fury shows that you, too, favor Khorne.

I like the tone of a lot of the answers, and I really like the explicit 'permission' to play however you want as long as your opponent agrees.

If GW are trying to rebuild bridges, this is another step in the right direction.

Was my One Question as well, happy to have such a concrete answer!

Pity about ability stacking, but so it is. May well be comped out in future events I attend anyway

Good stuff. Gives a baseline from which to adjust to the preference of your group or chosen event. I forget that model to model measurement is a thing sometimes as we just don't use it around here.
