Howdy.

I'm part of a Kickstarter from Critical Mass Games to bring our 15mm Snakemen, the Astagar, to production.

I've sculpted Mecha, grav tanks, APCs, missile artillery, and even have a few VTOLs in the works.

Steve 'Coolhand' Tyler digitally sculpted some brilliant infantry snake-grunts, as well.

Here's the main link to the KS...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2144071917/astagar-15mm-sci-fi-snakemen

We've already funded after 16 hours, and broken through to our first stretch goal.

I invite you to come in and join the madness.

As to the aforementioned mecha, arty, APCs, tanks, and snake-grunts, here are some previews. The images have links under them that lead to more, if you're interested, usually at my blog.

Here's the preview for the Volos Mecha

Here are the missile artillery, both grav and tracked.

Here are the Armored Personnel Carrier and Comms Vehicle variant, both grav and tracked. This stretch goal has already been unlocked...

Here is the Main Battle Tank, both grav and tracked versions.

The Viperia Powered Armour, affectionately known as “MF'n Snakes In A MF'n Can.”

And some of those brilliant infantry by Steve 'Coolhand' Tyler.

Understandable. But, if you were thinking of getting into 15mm, this is a great opportunity.

Plus, the mecha and powered armours would do fine service as drones or full-conversion cyborgs in 28mm.

Holy crap those snake men scream X-COM to me, I love it.

Those tanks look really nice too.

What's that mech standing between the two snake mecha in the first pic? It looks really sharp too.

That mech is an Arc Fleet Advance. A modular walker that can be tailored to a number of roles. Here's an assembly guide I did...

http://johnbearross.blogspot.com/2015/11/critical-mass-games-arc-fleet-walker.html

And here are some painted examples...

They can be found, along with the other Arc Fleet vehicles I did, on CMG's site.

Update:

http://johnbearross.blogspot.com/2016/04/astagar-kickstarter-pledges-reworked.html

The unlocks have been reworked, and new pledge level graphics to mirror the changes.

Also, the attack VTOL and Heavy Lifter are given sneak peeks.

Oooh, ow. That's certainly one way to tempt me into this one. I've really been wanting some Protolene and I think this offer may just put me over the edge. So, to take part in it, I'd just select the "No Reward" option, but put in the amount?

I will forward your question to the CMG folks ASAP.

Barzam,

I heard back from Critical Mass Games.
The "No Reward" option doesn't give one the ability to participate in the 20% off deal.

It's for folks who have already selected an available pledge level. There are still early-bird Heavy Infantry Commander slots open, if snake mecha are your thing. Tank commander slots, too.

Otherwise, with free shipping included, they'd probably lose money on the deal.

Hope this helps.

Best,
JBR

My biggest point of contention is still the fact that there's no potpourri pledge with just a little bit of everything.

I guess I could just do a bunch of individual add ons. I've got a infantry pledge currently but I don't want that many squads. If I could swap out a couple for a mecha and a few power armors I'd be quite happy.

Maybe Barzam will take the plunge and get the heavy infantry pledge and we can swap stuff... hint hint.

I'm more interested in the tanks and artillery, myself. The snake mecha don't interest me too much.

There have been additional "Requisition Form" pledge slots opened at the £5 level.

That lets you pick additional units a la carte, as well as add purchases from the CMG store to your pledge at 20% off. Along with worldwide shipping.

Okay, I'm in for one of those. Just a basic 5 pound pledge for now. I'll increase it later though.

This is wrapping up soon, and there's still stuff left to unlock! I want my bonus self propelled artillery!

This new pledge level went up the other day, for those like me who want a smattering of everything available.

For 40 pounds that's not a bad deal, especially if this hits 5,000 pounds, which it is very close to doing. While there may not be any of the mechs included, getting 2 tanks, 2 power armors (which are a pretty decent size themselves) as well as a bonus artillery piece is a pretty nice variety.

Especially if you need more scifi reptiles in 15mm.

There's also the discount on stuff already in the store as well if you want it included in your pledge...

SO GET PLEDGING!

Thanks for all the support during this Kickstarter campaign.

We successfully unlocked the MLRS missile artillery, both grav and tracked version.

I really appreciate you folks putting up with my updates, and I'm grateful for the feedback that helped us run a successful campaign.

One last update...
