Subject: This War of Mine the Boardgame Kickstarter - LIVE! last 24 hours!
We are proud to announce that we will be organizing the Kickstarter of This War of Mine: the Board Game and to show you first teaser trailer. The miniatures you’ll find within the box are designed by our studio. More information, as well as Kickstarter draft page will be coming soon!
The preparations to this project took the massive proportion – take a look at the “parcel” we’ve prepared! It’s the biggest thing we’ve ever created and send – bigger than even a Warlord Titan from back ago!
Can you guess what this may be?

Love the PC game, looking forward to seeing how the boardgame turns out.

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

I didn't like the PC game, at least needed an option to chose to play with characters who wouldn't cry themselves to death. Now if this game allows players to go on psychotic rampage...WITHOUT the named issues...

Then it wouldn't be "This War of Mine"?

REMEMBER - whatever your choice will be, content WILL BE ADDED TO FINAL BOX!
Click to choose!
Remember to check out our draft page and get subscribed to launch!
It is high time we showed you all the content that you will find in core game! Please remember, that we have prepared a bunch of stretch goals, so if the campaign goes well, expect a lot more!
The pledge value will be revealed on our KS draft page soon!
IN WAR, NOT EVERYONE IS A SOLDIER.
Imagine you wake up one day and the streets you used to walk are now in ruins. Rules and laws no longer apply. Your very existence is at stake now – the city is cut-off and if you want to survive, you must find food, medicine and weapons. Will you prey on the weak, or will you try to keep your morality?
We have sent out 50 prototypes to various reviewers across the globe to hear their thoughts, and during the Kickstarter campaign we will post the feedback for you to see. Take a look at the review of This War of Mine by Rahdo:
In the boardgame, the struggling civilians will be represented by the figures. You can see them below:
Presented models are 3D renders - final models will be made of plastic.
About the miniatures. I deeply like the characterization. The faces are very expressive and detailed.
But their build and the generally thick legs makes me think that, for a post-apocalyptic environment, there must be a lot of super calories food around...

Not sure this is the clarification you are looking for but most of them actually look exactly like they should once you read about the characters/played the game and know who they are.
For example:
Bruno is a chef but a coward and when worse comes to worse want stuff for himself. Since all his abilities (in the game at least) are food related the idea he has a few extra pounds on him is no surprise.
Roman for example was part of the militia before hand- he would have been well fed until he left (I assume they were getting some of the food from stealing from civilians, he does mention how he didnt like some of the stuff they did).
As for a lot of the other characters- many of them are wearing baggy cloths/pants to stay warm- in the actual game it is very cold and characters could freeze to death or catch colds and die that way.
Finally it isn't actually post-apocalyptic- they are just trying to survive a siege- right outside their city it is modern day with all the amenities that you and I have so it is an interesting contrast going on there.
Also I will vouch for the video game. It was amazingly done and I do not think I have seen many games handle mature subjects better than this one. You have to make really hard choices and it isn't always easy. I also feel it did a really good job of showing you the consequences of your actions (things would often be ever changing when you returned to an area).

I think what he means is in reference to them being heroic scale. They are more in line with WH40K miniatures in terms of blocky, squat which gives them an odd shape... instead of more true scale.

Subject: This War of Mine the Boardgame Kickstarter - LIVE! Tactical expansion stretch goal!
Tactical expansion is almost fully unlocked so time to get some new Stretch Goals... But this time YOU WILL DECIDE! What next expansion will be there on Kickstarter...? Vote in the comment!
Also - by commenting you get a chance to win This War of Mine Core Game (no shipping costs)!
a) Memories from the past This will add another 200 stories to the game, mostly featuring our characters' past. Those stories can affect gameplay as well as give you additional objectives in the game!
b) Sewers In this expansion you will get a whole new different area to explore (also during day!). But this is also a dangerous place, so there will be also additional miniatures of thugs with melee weapons included.
The choice is in your hands! Click to vote on Facebook!
I'm really surprised people aren't discussing this more. Yes, it isn't a miniatures-centric game per se, but the reviews make it look mechanically strong, and I love the idea of resource management, married to "Tales of the Arabian Nights", etc...
Oh, and the minis that are there, are pretty cool. :-)

KICKSTARTER IS LIVE! Hey guys!
We have another choice for you. This time, we will give you more time - 24 hours to choose your favorite. What will be the next Stretch Goal added FOR FREE to every copy of the game on Kickstarter?
By voting, once again you get a chance to win the core game with all stretch goals (we cover the shipping cost).
A) Orphans of War expansion This expansion will add a game element that is often overlooked in war stories and goes beyond "civilians": children, who do not even understand the seriousness of the events that are happening. They just keep on living in their small worlds and it is your job to keep them safe and fed.
B) Incidents expansion This expansion will come with 3 additional scenarios for the game, additional cards, tokens and secret rewards for completing scenario hidden in the envelopes.
Those scenarios will make it possible to play a relatively short, but very intense game. In this pack you will get following scenarios: Epidemic, Blood On The Snow and Refugees.
Please, vote in the comment and let us know what you think!
Really loving the way this is going. It appears that they got the orphan expansion done- will there be an incidents expansion as that is what I really wanted to see! (That being said the idea of trying to morally cope with orphans is also a great idea)
