the game store by my house is trying to get new players comfortable with the game. there was a suggestion that a start collecting league would be kinda fun, small fast games where its not so overwhelming. Being a new player i thought it was a great idea and signed up, i have over 2500 points in dark angels and love it but i wanna try something new and this seemed like a great chance. so the question im proposing is what box should i buy? i was thinking nids just becuase of how different they are from space marines. Space wolves are the army i really wanted to try but again playing dark angels i feel like it would be really similar, the positive thing is i can align with them and use them in my 40k games. Let me know what you guys think i appreciate it!!!

Well Space Wolves from my experience like to assault and appear to play differently enough from the other marines. Orks are always a fun choice even if they are not all that competitive.

If it's just limited to Nids and Wolves then I'd recommend Nids. Not the most powerful of armies but will definitely be a new experience (plus the dual-devourer flyrant is a fairly powerful unit).

Otherwise I recommend getting the AdMech Starter box. Not only is a good value but the AdMechs are an army that has some unique stuff and would make a good allied force to your Dark Angels.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
