I have been toying with some different lists with the Angels of Death supplement, and am liking the feel of an Imperial Fists detachment. The extra buffs from the bolter drill should help my alpha strike, and definitely has some interesting possibilities as far as the auxiliary detachments.

In general, this army should hit like a ton of bricks turn one, with 4 drop pods and 2 assault squads deep striking to take out the opponents main threats. Rerolling misses with the sternguard ammo should really help against both hordes and more elite infantry, giving me some flexibility dropping in wherever needed. One weakness I do see is a lack of psychic defense. Would it be worth it to drop the dread to try and fit in a culexus assassin? My initial thought is without a drop pod it would be difficult to position the assassin properly, but I could definitely use some anti-psyker power.
Thoughts?
