The idea is that in the longer term Icesword's miniatures, such as the new Great Coat, will follow those proportions. It's a big heroic scale but closer to the actual human proportions, very much like Ed's space pirate but a bit less muscular.

The cyber ganger is fantastic. Any chance of more of these ladies coming out? Perhaps a whole group or "gang" of them?

There will be more coming, don't know when since Rikard still has to make them. He was planning on making one with a jump pack and another one with a heavy weapon.

Not sure how thrilled I am about a jump pack model. The gangsters I have in mind can't take them. My wishlist:

gangster w/ ak-47 style automatic rifle
one w/a heavy weapon capable of shooting small, self-propelled missles. Or, if you will, bolts.
young gangster
gangster with a very special weapon, a flame thrower

These would all be pretty useful.

The minotaurs are pretty much ready. I'm just having a lot o equipment trouble that's preventing me rom taking and uploading pictures. (which i want to do beore i submit the work or casting) I've also got a lot on my plate as i'm starting a business as a reelance artist (drawing, painting, digital work and sculpting.. I'll be open or business and taking commissions by about mid-april. i anyone's interested PM me) and chasing unding or a new PC (rather than this broken old laptop that barely works) and a digital camera etc. The Minotaurs, Manticore and Warmonger should be sent almost as soon as i get my new kit and post pics. Sorry or the hold up. I've also been working on a Giant Cyclops (harryhausen inspired) and a Jabberwock that i'll post WIP pics o at the same time as the completed pieces

So much cool stuff in the thread! But then I go to the store and I never see nearly as much... what's the wait-time from an artist finishing their work, and it being cast, currently?

Well, this thread is primarily WIPs, which is mentioned several times (also in the title of the thread). Release all depends on how fast the sculptor sculpts, sends off his stuff to Ed, for the mail to arrive, then for Ed to cast it. Ed is currently doing this in his free time since he also has a day job again. Combine that with the orders he also has to do, a family to raise and the sculpting and you'll see why it's not going as fast as we all would have wanted.

Is Ed still a concrete labor foreman?

I thought those wings were already out, and a lot cheaper than $15 a pair? That's more than forgeworld charges.

Surprised at metal wings... very difficult to use on models.

At first I thought these wings could be useful, but then I thought about the fact that are metal, thus unbalancing a plastic/resin/GS model.

The new demon looks pretty cool

Icesword is continuing to work on his new Great Coats. They will most likely be single part miniatures, he wasn't too fond of the multi-part stuff and casting of it is more difficult. I think we will be seeing the multi-parts return once Ed has mastered casting plastic miniatures instead of metal and resin. So probably (can't guarantee this) sometime next year...

These have been at Ed's for a while if I'm not mistaken and could be seen as expansions for the already existing "ranges" (might be a big word at this time). We've already got a bunch of daemons and undead stuff.

Sciror/Warspike is going slow as always which is why the "Dark Pyre" project (a fantasy setting for Warspike which Borak is working on) is currently a bit on hold. We did however start some interesting discussions on it:
-Dark Pyre: Undead
-Dark Pyre: Evil Dwarfs
-Dark Pyre: Fishmen
-Dark Pyre: General fluff ideas

As Malika said, things are a bit quiet on the Dark Pyre front. i'm still waiting on a completed first version of the Warspike ruleset before i start in earnest. in the mean time i have made progress on my other big game project, Wastelander, which will be a Post Apoc skirmish/adventure game.

I'm hoping to have volume 1 (Blood and Dust) ready by autumn/winter. there will be three other volumes that will expand on the previous ones to accomodate bigger games and things like psionics, vehicles and advanced tech. there will be campaign system and character development rules but it will also work for pick up and play games.

it looks like Ed, Build and JT might be getting involved with the sculpting and some of the TFM members could be helping with things like art and fluff. if you're interested head on over and join in

i'm currently exploring the possibilities of releasing a boxed starter set with a book, 20 or so models and a couple of bits of terrain. IF that goes ahead it won't be until next year at the earliest
