Thanks for the vote of confidence Doc !

Got a coat of Matt varnish on the Basilisk so some tidying up, detail shading and some lenses and it's done , hopefully finish that Sunday , however today I knocked up a base for my Valkyrie as Little H robbed mine for his Stormtalon.

And that's about all I'll get done today as I'm off down the pub !
Let me know what you think guys ! Critisisms welcome !

Good idea on the crew driver technique have to remember that one for the future, definitely griping up but still room for more IMHO I mean it's nurgle so dirt and grime is a must.

Yes I see your point on the walkers all though a few repair plates and straps would tie in the nurgle theme a bit more, as for oil paints they do have a great time usage but on the same hand can be a real pain to dry.

I take your point about them being Nurgle and needing more gunk. I my homemade fluff they are only just turned, so not full dribbley yet, but perhaps I'll go a bit further.

Good point ref. Oils, if you paint with oils it takes forever to dry, but when diluted with thinners to make washes and tints, it's reasonably quick to work with, once the thinners have evaporated the paint tint will still be soft but give it an hour and spray with varnish to seal it in and your back to working with acrylics !

I'm calling the Basilisk done for now, I'll do the final glue together once I work out what I'm doing with the crew.
What do you reckon Dakka ?

Very nice work on the Basilisk converted from a Pz-IV. Plenty of grimes and rust for a Nurgle Cannon.

Dakka says YES! we honestly could learn so much from you Biggy! I know of no other proficient painters who regularly use oil and pin washes on pretty much everything to such great effect, i'm glad we've got you here on Dakka instead of scampering off to show your skills on those 'other' scale model sites!

Well thanks Damo, you crazy kid ! All it takes is a little practise and an airbrush to spray lots of thin coats of varnish !

Today I tinkered a bit with Little H's Dreadknight , I reposed it to look less static , which is more or less done , save for the pilots legs which will need some reposing also.
I had intended to leave it in sub-assemblies to make it easier to paint but I just ended up with a million loose bits and not much actually glued, so now it's one big awkward lump.
Little H want it in our Marines desert camo, either with grey stripes or the pea dot. I kinda like the idea of the pea dot cam , interspersed with some usual bright heraldry and insignia.
What do you reckon Dakka ?

Thanks Gits, I'm a tu ally looking forward to painting them, which I don't usually with infantry.

But instead of painting them, today I made a start on my loooooong planned Daemon Prince. It all started when I got a few DP bitz in a bag of stuff from eBay and I've been slowly collecting bits together for this big day !

Had a casual few hours on the Daemon Prince , I think I have the basic shape done and roughed out now.
Next I'll add some cabling and then start on blending all the plates and limbs into the body in a nasty nurgle way with pure greenstuff.
Comments and critisisms welcome !
