... least that one is solved.

THE STORY
After Fulgrim’s ascension to daemonhood at Iydris, Perturabo and his Legion were trapped by the singularity at the heart of the so-called ‘Eye of Terror’. Their only option? To thread the needle, and dive into the heart of the black hole. Perhaps by sheer blind luck, they were transported far across the warp to the Tallarn System – but the Navigators in service to the Iron Warriors fleet were irreversibly corrupted by that harrowing experience. Now they serve a new purpose, and Perturabo’s plans for revenge come closer to fruition...

READ IT BECAUSE
Bridging the gap between Angel Exterminatus and the Battle of Tallarn, this short story focuses on the Navigators assigned to Iron Warrior Legion fleet. After their journey through the Eye of Terror, many of their number are... changed. This story also contains some hints as to the Iron Warriors motivation for their attack on Tallarn.

If they do I imagine it's only to their non-writer friends while they shut up around people from their own industry who might consider getting a paycheck for a novella and 2 short stories a joke.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I also got "Alpharius" and I have to admit, I thought that was the point/joke - that EVERYONE was going to get "Alpharius".

Good to see that's not the case, but it would've been funny if it was!

THE STORY
The ravaged world of Tallarn now plays host to the greatest armoured conflict in the history of mankind, with the bitter and vengeful Iron Warriors leading warhosts of tanks and Titans across the befouled plains. In desperation, a covert team of Imperial Fists resort to seemingly unthinkable measures in order to regain the upper hand - but will their mission to seize the macro-transporter Eagle's Talon ensure victory, or merely spell doom for their loyal allies on the surface below?

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
This audio recreates a tense boarding action via a series of linked 'found extracts' of Imperial Fists vox-communications. This unique take on the Black Library audio drama makes for a immersive and gripping listen.

Decided to do something different and give a few audio dramas a try.

The Long Night, which featured the Prince of Crows, one of the more fun characters of the Heresy. It was an okay blurb of noise.

Master of the First, which did add some layers to the whole coming fall of Caliban.

The Herald of Sanguinius, ehhhh, I guess we finally know the origins of that one then.

The Watcher, which was okay I suppose.

Overall, these dramas do not add a whole lot to the setting, or do much to fill in blanks. Bleh.

An actual new novel !

http://www.blacklibrary.com/warhammer-40000/umbra-sumus-hardback.html

THE STORY
The Space Marines of the Dark Hunters, descendants of the White Scars and their savage primarch Jaghatai Khan, are called to battle on the world of Ras Hanem, a world they thought long since liberated from the grip of heresy and returned to Imperial rule. Many years ago, the Dark Hunters defeated the traitor warband known as the Punishers on that world, in a conflict that left deep wounds in the Chapter. But now the Punishers have returned, seeking vengeance upon their would-be destroyers. Captain Jonah Kerne of Mortai Company is sent to annihiliate the traitors once and for all, but the cost of victory may be too high for him to bear…

READ IT BECAUSE
It’s all action, all the time. Definitely the underdog, the Dark Hunter Space Marines face off against the sprawling forces of the Punishers horde – old enemies who only want revenge. The Dark Hunters don’t have all the gear, but you’ll admire their mad ambush skills and stubborn tenacity.

Out early feb.

..£20 though, hardback.

But what if they come up against someone who isn't Mad? Do they fight them straight on? What if they are only slightly irked, but not really mad? Do they try to make them more mad and then try to ambush them? I guess I should read it because the questions are just so important .

Cornering the market is a journeyman ambush at best. No master would go for an ambush that obvious.

Hi there I just finished Prospero burns (yes I know I am little behind but I lost interest in impulse buying every title since they started introducing all those limited-event-audio-hardback-big paperback-etc formats) and think thats another great one by Abnett although it is suffering as most his books are with rushed ending.
But I am not here to tell you that but to ask was it ever explained why wet leopard sound, is that some joke that Abnett decided to put in or something else. I really doubt it was intentionally put in the novel because he is a damn good writer and putting off-comparision over 10 times in single novel seems strange.
Edit: Sorry I put post with question mark in this topic but didnt wanted to open new one just for that if mods find this inappropriate feel free to delete it, sorry once again.
