My local game shop is having another tourney, and I figured I'd give it a shot. My last 3 times have had mixed success, but with the ever present TLTs/Palp/Brobots/Aces/Jumpmasters, I figured I can't bring my "fun" tourney lists. So, I've resorted to the ultimate cheese.

Contracted Scout (25)
- Dead Eye
- Plasma Torpedoes
- Extra Munitions
- R4 Agromech
- Guidance Chips

Rense and Repeat twice. Brings me to 99 points.

I know, I'm gonna be that guy. But after winning a tournament with 2 X-wings and an E-wing, I feel like I can be an ass once. The only problem with this list is I can't decide if I like the 6x shots of munitions, or if swapping that out for Feedback Arrays would help deal with some of the problem lists, such as aces. What are you guy's thoughts? Is Feedback arrays worth it? I might try them out a few times tonight to start getting the hang of flying them.

Feedback arrays help against aces, yes, but you should always be able to get someone in arc no problem. 6 munitions shots is worth it. Choice is yours, but I'd just stick with what you have there.

I wouldn't bother with Feedback, my thinking is you have three large base ships that can play the blocking game against Aces and 2 or 3 dice turrets against an actionless ship is most likely enough as you've hopefully got a Torpedo shot or two landed

There's always the option to swap out a u-boat for a bumpmaster (anti-pursuit lasers + feedback + intelligence agent + intimidation) if you're concerned about aces.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Haha, yeah I thought about running something similar to that x3. That just seems like a ton of fun.

U-Boat Jumpmasters are a little bit silly. Hadn't tried them till this Friday where I played 2 quick games with them then took them to a tournament the day after and went 3-1. I'm favouring running the 2 33 point standard ones with either Palob or Zuckuss to help against Ace's. In a purist 3 Jump List I think giving one of them a Feedback Array instead of Extra Munitions and Intel Agent could be a very valid strategy to handle mirror matchs and Aces. I'm less than convinced by the bumpmaster but I've only played against it once so am open to having my opinion changed based on other experiences,

I dunno man, I tried it out this weekend, and ended up in 3rd place. That's pretty good, if you ask me, but my thoughts are that this list is receiving way more hype than it needs. It's good, but not super good.

So did you try pure 3 identical U-Boats, or the 2 plus Bumpmaster in your most recent tournament? What were your matchups/how did your games go?

So far I've taken 2 U-Boats plus Ace to 2 quite small tournaments and I can tell you that the only games I've lost have been down to my own incompetence. So I have high hopes for them as I head towards Regionals as I can live with "I make stupid mistakes=losing" style X-Wing. I agree with you that they are not "Sky is falling" level good, but they seem to invalidate stuff like Rebel Regen,TLT Heavy lists, PS2 Generics and outperform most other joust ships whilst retaining a primary weapon turret so I can see why they create problems for a lot of people.

I ran 2x Jump Masters with Plasma Torpedoes and Feedback arrays (with the agromech, deadeye, and Chimps), and the 3rd had Proton Torpedoes and Extra Munitions instead.

It was a local tourney, nothing too big and fancy. There were 3 rounds, and my first match-up was against Palpmobile +Wampa+Scourge+Mauler+Howlrunner, 3 of which had Crackshot. He was able to get 2 of my Jumps to half health, but otherwise I wiped the floor with him.

Second match I went up against the guy who would later on win the tournament, so go me. He had 6 Zs with Concussion Missiles and Guidance Chips. I admit I didn't fly as well as I should have, as I was unfamiliar with fighting such a list. I know a few things I could've done better. But It ended with 2 of his Zs at half health, 3 were dead, and I Feedback Arrayed my last ship to kill his last ship, just to snatch some points.

Last match, I actually felt bad for the guy. He was running Soonitr with Autothrusters and PTL, the Inquisitor with VI, title, and Autothrusters, and Whisper with VI, Intel Agent, and Advanced Cloaking Device. Turn 2 I barrel rolled into the way of Soontir, and he bumped, followed by the Inquisitor bumping. I killed both of them that turn, and the third turn I made Whisper bump with no potential shooting target, and thus he was annihilated.

Overall, solid performance. I think I could've won my second match if I had more experience fighting a swarm like that, but live and learn.
