Because it gave the impression of having longer hair while still working as a one piece metal cast. At this point it's part of an established design aesthetic that keeps them recognizable.
A quick and dirty google translate sounds like you can PM them to purchase, but they are not officially for sale.

Officially we do not " sell " thumbnails. For any questions please write to the PM.
Wishes when ordering the author's miniatures can obtain additional copies of these miniatures in the resin . In that case, if the description contains photographs value , it is - similar to the price for copying."
Huh, well I guess GW's claim that they can't do plastic sister's because of their hair is bs then. Those look really nice. How much you want to bet that they are shut down by GW's legal department, and then GW announces shortly afterwards that they have "new" plastic sisters?

Its always pretty much been BS.
if they wanted they could have.
Wonder if these would be sold with the weapons shown?
I was so excited when these popped up in the Wargames Exclusive thread, then bummed when they disappeard, then excited when they cropped up here!
Sisters were my first proper army back in 2nd, after the hodgepodge of Marines I put together after my first few games, while I'm fully corrupted by Chaos now they still hold a place in my heart, I would love to get my hands on these. The bob cuts have never been great, but they're fitting and you can always use the Statuesque Miniatures heads for swaps (although Id rather they were just all helmeted tbh)

Wait, who ever said that hair was the problem? I always heard it was the cloth shoulder bits that were the issue. But then B@C happened so….

I always wanted some of the old style sisters with the little old style rhino's and immolators.
These are really nice, though are the new style, they don't have the gas masks. Though if plastic sisters come out I can realize my dream sooner (and maybe get rid of junk in the process).

I heard it was their hair. I guess its possible they changed their excuse.

It's sweet of you to credit me for my Google gymnastics, Mr Morden. Thanks!
I love these to death and I need all of them. I'm going to hold off until the following comes to pass, though.

exemplary sequence is as follows: 1) Sets Special of weapon on the individual sprues (5 Meltem / 5 flamethrowers) 2) Dominionki - 5 models in the dynamic running poses 2) Retrebyutershi - 5 models with heavy weapons, protective posture static 3) Serafimki - 5 models with their version of the armor. Fly, run, jump .... 4) Equipment - 4 model on the basis of one (Reno, Immolyator, repressor, The Exorcist). Completely reworked Rink and sootvtestvenno new aero parts. 5) Sisters of Battle (second five) - 5 models in non-combat positions (prayer, rest, etc.) 6) Canoness - character with a set of weapons 7) Celestine - power, passion and sexy 8) Priests - 5 models of half-mad monks 9) Repentistki - 5 models of half-naked girls ... My love for anatomy will find here a place to turn ... 10) Selestinki / komandnik - 5 models in rich armor 11) Hands Selestiankam with pistols / swords 12) Conclave - the Crusaders and the Cult of Death As you can see, a lot of plans, so that the terms can not yet say anything. Work in progress!
... which sounds like:
1) Meltas and flamers
2) "Dominionki", Dominions
2) "Retrebyutershi", Retributors
3) "Serafimki", Seraphim
4) Rhino, Immolator, Repressor (completely reworked Rink?)
5) Five more Battle Sisters in non-combat positions (goodness, I need this so much)
6) Canoness with options
7) Celestine "power, passion, and sexy" (okay?)
8) 5 Priests
9) "Repentistki", Repentia
10) "Selestinki / komandnik - 5 models in rich armor", Celestians
11) "Hands Selestiankam with pistols / swords" melee Celestians?
12) "Conclave - the Crusaders and the Cult of Death", Death Cult Assassins and Crusaders
This could just be everything I ever wanted. They're even in truescale.
EDIT: I noticed their flowing sleeves and it made me smile because it reminded me of GW's nonsense excuses.

"...All models are sculpted and custom-made to order and it's possible to order multiple copies of your custom-made miniatures molded in resin as an extra service."
So they are not mass-produced because every order is individually sculpted, GW has gak on them.

Hello, this is Games Workshop. We're terribly sorry, for years our multi-million dollar company has been having a hard time doing the same quality of work as a tiny Russian one.
Although in the meantime we have perfected abandoning or outright killing our own production lines and then holding the rights to them to prevent someone with their heads screwed on straight producing the same quality or better. Try to think of us as FOX television, but for miniatures wargames.

"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
Cool. I like the 2nd ed style bolters re-imagined slightly.
Don't several companies already make kits that involve the same type of elements that are being used as reasons not to do these?
I think the bob haircut has more to do with modesty and the space nun theme. There are faiths that teach hair past shoulder length is considered excessive and immodest and so forth. At least that's why I think GW went that direction. Why these guys stayed with that would be even further speculation.
GW needs to hire these guys. Then they will finally be able to do flowing sleeves and whatever other bsGW had "trouble" with.
If you'd want to order these you'd have to drop them a message on VK or on the warforge.ru forums and ask about it (I am not sure they speak English, so you'd probably have to do it in Russian). Price for one resin, modular 5-girl squad (including special weapons and combi-weapon) is 1350 Russian rubles (that is about 20 dollars).
If there is enough demand, they will make more stuff. Eventually they hope to remake almost the entire SoB line in resin.
