Hello everyone, today I come to present you One Page Rules (OPR)!

What is OPR?

OPR is a fan-made and community-driven website where we release single-page ruleset that are simple to learn and fun to play. The games generally serve as a great introduction to wargaming for beginners, as well as to play quick and easy games for veterans.

We have rules for 40k, whfb, kill team, mordheim, blood bowl and more. We are always working on new games and updates and appreciate all feedback from the community!

Today we are proud to release the first official update for Orion’s Gate. This little game has already become a big hit among our community with lots of people talking about it and posting battle reports on our forums.

Anyway, the update slightly modifies a couple of the existing rules, but more importantly adds a whole bunch of new rules. We have added new components, added advanced rules, there’s a lot of exciting stuff.

One Page stuff is pretty good, played not-40k and not-killteam a bit with some friends a while back. Simple rules that let you use existing figs and mix/match, kinda like what you see in KoW armies, except for more genres. Very similar to FUBAR, with a little more depth (they are typically more like 10~20 pages, despite the advertising ). Good for filler games or as a break from your regular stuff, and are pretty good convention-style games or playing with younger gamers. Considering it's all free, I'd recommend a look at their stuff

Great you decided to post here also. Your one page rules are extremely fun and lately I am using them to play with my four year son to get him in gaming as soon as possible.
My favorite so far are Orions gate and Grimdark racing (although my wife doesnt want to play racing anymore since we always wreck her ).

Yesterday I played 1 page kill team, using some of genestealer cult minis and CSM minis. I played a few 150 point games and we had fun. fast. easy to learn. got to actually use my GS minis.

Are their any alpha/beta rules for the genestealer cult? I used cultists from CSM for acolytes and it worked well enough. I see that harlequins are in, so I assume its just a matter of time.

@NobodyXY We are going to be releasing a 3rd edition for 1p40k/1pKT soon, and then we'll be working on getting the genestealer cult rules out.

Keep up the good work! The Orion's Gate rules don't "click" with me as much, with all the other space rulesets I have read over the years, but I really do really like my first glances at the 40k and Kill Team rules- especially that while all the races have weapons drawn from a common list, all the customization familiar from official 40k has been saved within each troop type.

I don't know as I will use the 40k rules, but not only is it great to have free, simple Kill Team rules to use with my plethora of models in my collection, it's also huge in trying out factions that I have looked at before but did not want to have to buy a full army and codex just to use the models.

For example, I love all the Chosen from Dark Vengeance, but don't necessarily want to build a full Chaos army with vehicle support. They would make a great little force for skirmishing, but most other Kill Team-style rulesets would require me to buy the full Chaos Codex to make use of less than ten models.

Also, alternating activations! Thank you so much for that, as it keeps my opponents, which are not always as gung-ho of minis gamers as me, from the boredom that IGOUGO can entail.

I stumbled onto this last month. It is on my "will try soon" list. Can't wait.

Today we are proud to release 1p40k v3.0.0, the little ruleset that could. 1p40k has been our flagship game, which has helped many a gamer dust off their old minis and put them back on the table, as well as bring new players to the hobby.

In this release you will see a lot of new things, as well as some things gone. Making this version meant re-working all factions from the ground up, and seeing how we wanted to release the game sooner than later we decided to cut a few things. Some of them will see a return in the future, and you can definitely expect new factions soon!

1p40k has pretty much replaced all the sci-fantasy gaming rules I used to play. We've had orks vs warzone plastics and tyranids vs Reaper's nova corps.

Sorry everyone, this was meant to come out last week but a series of unexpected events stopped me from releasing it. Now that 1p40k has been updated we needed to bring 1pKT up to speed with all the new rules, units, etc. so here is 1pKT v3.0.0 for you!

Many things have change, especially in the core rules, which should make for much cleaner games. We polished up the way groups work and moved the pushing rules to the advanced section where we expanded on them.

Have wondered for some time- why no lightning claw option for Terminators?

Because of the way we translate rules from GW to 1p there are no lightning claws now. Maybe we'll look into changing that at some point...

Ah, ok. Just seemed to me they could be portrayed as an option under the Thunder Hammer, as something like Twin Medium Power Swords (Linked).

Hope to get some games in soon! Small model count and simple rules are a great sell to people who don't mind gaming but are not big gamers (hint-wife).

Question: Is there a particular reason that your points costs are so much higher than GW's points for the "same" things?

We calculate point costs our own way, so they are not compatible/comparable at all with the GW costs. As such any similarities/discrepancies are completely coincidental.

Because of this a 500pts game of 1p40k is not equivalent to a 500pts game of 40k with GW rules.

We don't have a newsletter so the best thing is to follow our blog, facebook, twitter or reddit pages. We usually cross-post everything so even if you just follow one of them you should be getting all updates.

Fantasy Skirmish has been one of my favorite games for a while, pretty much replacing Mordheim as the go-to campaign skirmish for me. With this latest release we aimed at improving a bunch of stuff, most of which is already found in the 1pKT update.
