I was trying a new way of painting cloth. Nothing amazing, but it looks better than my previous "wash and a drybrush" attempts. More and bigger photos on my blog.

Thanks! Do you think the "denim" thing could be a result of the drybrushing creating a slightly "powdery" effect (making the fabric look rough like denim)? Or is it just the color; should I have gone darker or something?

Under the couch

Partly the chalkiness, partly the lightness of the highlight colour compared to the shadow.

Blue cotton or polyester wouldn't normally have such an extreme transition, and the highlights would be smaller.
