Hi comrades and brothers in arms.

I've gotten, quite recently, my german army up to 1000 for Bolt Action. But it has some shortcomings that could maybe be fixed so as to put an even fierce fight up hehe! I PLAY HISTORICALLY ACCORDING TO THE INFOS I HARDLY CAUGHT AND PUT TOGETHER FROM VARIOUS SOURCES SO KEEP THAT IN MIND .

That's what the list looks like:

Artillery observer, (regular) (100)

Oberstleutnant (1st, reguar) (75)

Medic (veteran) (30)

Stug III (regular) (230)

MMG (regular) (50)

Volksgrenadier squad: 1 LMG, 2 SMGs, 5 assault rifles, 2 panzerfäuster. (inexperienced) (129)

Volksgrenadier squad: 1 LMG, 2 SMGs, 5 assault rifles, 2 panzerfäuster. (inexperienced) (129)

Infantry squad (representing Volksgrenadier rifle squad): 1 LMG, 2 SMGs, rifles, 2 panzerfäuster (regular) (126)

Infantry squad (representing Volksgrenadier rifle squad): 1 LMG, 2 SMGs, rifles, 2 panzerfäuster (regular) (126)

What I personally think is that I could focus on a single platoon, getting rid of one of the rifle squads, to add more support units such as snipers. According to their size (9 men in each), 3 of them will be way enough to cope with my needs. Well, that means I need to buy them but they're fairly cheap. I also doubt whether it'd be a good idea to put a new commander in so that i'm not forced to blob my army in order ot make the best of his leadership boost area, and to abandon the MMG since that isn't much useful even with one more die to roll (hurra! ). What do you guys think?

Hello there. I'm not super great at Bolt Action, so take my advice or leave it, this is just a suggestion. I think your list looks pretty good. You could probably drop some Panzerfausts, they are nice, but with a StuG in there you don't need huge amounts of anti-armor. Also I would hesitate some on all the firepower you have in your squads. At full strength they are formidable, but as they are inexperienced they won't be full strength long. They also won't be as good in close assaults as you might think because if you attack a defended obstacle or building they hit back at the same time and inexperienced guys drop like flies. I would probably lose a few assault rifles from each unit, keep it at 2 or 3 max. That way you can absorb a few casualties through rifle guys. With the spare points add bodies.

That's what I got, hopefully it helps.

Yep, i may mix the platoons when i get them to the project's scale. In real life they would, without trouble, mix the squads from different platoons together.

I still think i'd need a bit more support since i kinda get shattered by lack a pinning power on my side But i take your advice.
