Greetings all.
Looking to start AoS, and luckily for me I have a mountain of nurgle daemons painted up for 40k. How does this look?
Tallyband: 100
Great Unclean One 240
2 x plaguebearer heroes 200
Epidemius 180
3 x 10 Plaguebearers 300
3 x nurglings 240
2 x 3 plague drones 440
Haven't played a single game yet so might be complete rubbish!

For a first game you'll do fine! I would recommend playing a few to get a feel for how the rules work and how nurgle works, then coming back with any questions you have

In AoS, those Plague Drones are brutally hard to get rid of.
They don't do a ton of damage, but what they offer is a hard to kill unit that will tie up your opponents.
I hated playing against 3 of them - can't imagine 6 will be much better.
Just keep your eye on the scenario objective and plan accordingly.

Nurglings get no benefit from the tallyband and in Matched Play plaguebearers are significantly more efficient in groups of 30. I'd drop the Nurglings and both Heralds/a plague drone unit to make two of the plaguebearer units 30-man (the unit of 10 can camp a backfield objective quite well). 30-man plaguebearer units in a tallyband are going to take stupid amounts of force to bring down (-1 to hit them in melee, -2 at range, recover models from battalion and potentially from icons) and will eventually beat most enemy units through attrition alone.
Some tips (I play Nurgle daemons myself):
-Unlike 8th edition (and 40k?) units get locus benefits of any nurgle daemon hero, not just heralds (this is not yet reflected in the AoS app but was altered in the Grand Alliance: Chaos book).
-Even if you can't fail a battleshock test you still roll it, meaning you can get a 1 to bring models back.
-Your great unclean one will heal d3 a round from his own ability, d3 from the battalion ability, and potentially d3 more from his spell, but can still die in a single turn to concentrated firepower.
-If Epidemius stays alive the whole game, you probably won that game. Keep in the backfield and out of line of sight, don't try to fight with him unless you are CERTAIN he will not die, or there is no other choice.
-Plaguebearers benefit somewhat from the locus effect, while plague drones benefit significantly, so its more important to keep the latter within 7" of a hero. Remember only one model from the whole unit needs to be in range.
-Plague Drones and the GUO have a shooting attack! I cant count how many times I forgot this initially.

If you have a Nurgle Daemon Prince in your collection, you could also consider adding that to keep up with the Plague Drones and activate their locus.
Plus the Daemon Prince seems pretty decent, especially with Epidemius' buff.

Not a bad idea on the daemon prince front actually... Would certainly help rack up the tally a bit. How about something like this:
Tallyband: 100
GUO: 240
Epidemius: 180
Herald of nurgle: 100
Herald of nurgle: 100
Daemon prince of nurgle: 160
Plaguebearers (30): 300
Plaguebearers (30): 300
Plaguebearers (10): 100
Plague drones: 220
Beast of nurgle: 60
Beast of nurgle: 60
Beast of nurgle: 60
Should come 1980/2000. Not quite as many units for the tallyband (though still well over the 7 minimum), but they're much bigger and tougher.

Now that's a sweet Nurgle Daemon list! At this point making it better would probably involve switching in non-Daemons which I assume is not the idea.

Cheers! Tbh I'm open to any suggestions to improve it, this was just based off what I currently have painted. What would you suggest?

Epidemius loves ranged Nurgle to cause casualties for his tally before your units hit combat, accordingly Skaven Plagueclaw Catapaults are quite useful (they have the nurgle keyword). Also, unfortunately, the things Epidemius buffs the most are very elite units, meaning Putrid Blightkings and Rotbringer characters in general.
