hey guys. So lately I've been looking to start a chaos daemon army and I was looking around at which chaos god I would want to do and I stumbled upon a chaos God named malice. I didn't know there were technically more then the 4 base chaos gods. Who is this guy and can I make a daemon army of malice? Any help with this would be most appreciated.

I believe that Malice was the God of pure Chaos and would be best represented by Chaos Undivided.

His original name was Malal. He is the logical conclusion of Chaos; the idea that Chaos is self-destructive. Thus he is an enemy of Chaos itself despite being a Chaos God. His followers (including his daemons) would often wield weapons that are strong against Daemons, despite the paradoxical nature. He also didn't seek out vast centers of worship or big, loud cults because of the same reason.

Unfortunately his lore is very, very dated. He originally appeared in a series of comics or something but GW ended up having a dispute with the publication's author and no one really knows who owns the rights to the idea of Malal anymore. GW didn't decide to fight for him either, so he was left in limbo.

Note that in terms of game rules, there are no daemons of any chaos god outside of the big 4; even the unaligned Furies and Soul Grinders are said to not follow any particular god (Furies have no masters period, while Soul Grinders are to obey the Daemon Forges rather than their parent god). However you can always use models you want and just have them use the rules of another god's daemon.

That's true. Since malice is chaos undivided as stated earlier the I could in theory use any daemons for his army.

Thanks for posting that link. I'll look through those "rules." What chaos daemons or models do you guys suggest I should use for daemons of malal?

He's not exactly "Chaos Undivided" as that term means the followers venerate all aspects of Chaos equally. Malal is in effect a fifth Chaos God and his very being means that they would detest all other aspects of Chaos.

"Unaligned" would be a better term.

I believe the hooked horror on this website was recommended as a malal daemon:

Malal, or Malice actually has a Chapter of Renegades, called the Sons of Malice. Also, Malice is so old he has almost been retconned out. However, the SM Omnibus had a story of Malal, so not quite.
