So, its been months of neglect, and a thin layer of shame has dusted your models.

Your once solid black army has taken a tinge of grey. Nurgle is pleased with the dead skin cells your army has acquired.

How do you clean off your models easily without breaking off bits? What needle-nose-tipped-goose-feather-duster do professional cleaning ladies use?

Be brave and go buy a makeup brush. Or if you have a partner acquire one of their old ones. Job done.

The super soft bristles are perfect for dusting miniatures.

I use a large makeup brush myself to lightly dust off minis and larger models.

I third that it is the ideal means of getting the dust off.
A big freaking brush, do not skimp.
Maybe I get way too much hobby supplies from the makeup department but I collect points.

Same, massive foundation brush. I also buy nylon tights for polishing shoes. I try to avoid buying them together

Has anyone used an airbrush without paint in it? It'd be non-contact, but a constant flow of air.

That's another make-up tool, for the count.

An airbrush works for some of the dust, in my experience it doesn't get of everything though. I usually use an airbrush for the first thick layer of dust and then afterwards I still clean with a soft brush (My house is very dusty, nothing to do with not touching models for years on an end, honestly )

Makeup brushes are awesome. I use them for drybrushing a lot too, if you do it right they can give your mini a cool dusty look. My GF is always ordering new ones on amazon, she gives em to me if she gets one that she doesn't like

Some kind of clean air does not hurt to get the worst of it off (airbrush, canned air).
If using the airbrush, make sure you spray on something first... just in case... we don't want any painting tragedies.

Unfortunately, certain kinds of dust just does not come off without some rubbing.
The makeup brush is probably the best for scrubbing without scoring the paint or knocking off delicate bits.
The camera blow brush is a great idea but is rather tiny, I would get rather impatient in it's use.

I have a large soft humbrol bush I use for dusting. Cost less than a pound from a local model shop. Never been exposed to a drop of actual paint.
