For caster hunting.. it doesnt get much better then either then Flesh hounds. They are fast, they can dis-spell (sp?) as if they are wizards. With the blood stoke you can send them fast up the flank(s), whip em with your stoker so they can move 8, run d6+3.. they are already ATLEAST at midfield and start interrupting casting. Also remember your bloodsecretor makes it so all successful castings must be re-rolled within 18" of him. Very handy. I actually like them better then the bloodcrushers. They are tough units, but for roughly 55 points per model.. you get d3 (meh) mortal wounds HALF the time (4+) IF they get the charge, and mediocre steed attacks. Flesh hounds (20 point per model) only have 1 wound less, have more attacks and get that collar to dispell. Just my $.02
The best defense an artillery for Khorne is the skull cannon. They usually have longer range then other artillery, and if you can get in combat with some weaker infantry units, then you get the chance for a free shot in the combat phase! I usually send my Cannons after an opponents tarpit units. They lose NO effectiveness when they are sitting in combat because they can still shoot and are more likely to get the free shot.
