What IS this thing?

As per the GW Facebook page:

Those of you who have already received your subscription copy of this month's White Dwarf will have noticed this new piece of Imperial tech. For the rest of you, here's your first good look at the Haemotrope Reactor, a machine that literally runs on the blood of heroes (plus a bit of prometheum).

When I saw that tagline, I immediately though of H.B.M.C.

Blood for the Machine God?

The pipes are cool. They fit 40k/30k and really any post apoc game. Bought 2 sets

This though...this is terrible

It does seem pretty ridiculous...maybe this is their newest idea on how to keep the 40K scene grimdark?

they tell the population it's the blood of martyrs beacause in the grim dark future the people lap that sort of thing up

but really it's just a bunch of thick, red toxic chemicals they need to dispose of and it's easier to burn off as part of the general promethium system

after all somebody in the inquisition might eventually realise there is a reason for all these mutations (rendering the local population more suceptable to chaos and the warp)
