Hello everyone, with the coming of the thousands sons kits in plastic, my favor for Chaos has returned. When i started Chaos I was a newbie painter not very good at painting metal/plastic hybrid models. There for my thousand sons came out pretty rubish.
But now with the plastic kit i can finally try again and there for I call this plog to life to help me keep motivation to finish it all.

I am starting with rubric marines and work my way up to (hopefully) magnus himself one day.

Note: i am still not a very good painter.

Started painting today so the following marine is still a work in progress, so be gentle to the kind souls. I mean he is stuck in that armor for god sake
It is mostly basecoated washes and a few highlights, still need to fix the blue armor after some mistakes.

Nice start- lovely bright shades with a nice, crisp feel.

Look forward to seeing how this develops!

Really impressive paintwork here, classic scheme, great execution. Also loving the base, very Tzeentchian!

Agreed with the other replies in the thread, I think he looks great. It is not an easy scheme to paint and you have done it really well.
What special weapons (if any) do you plan to add to the squad?

Thank you for the kind words .

I am planning on doing the aspiring sorcerer, the heavy machine gun and a couple (2 a 3) warpflamers and a icon of flame, because it looks awesome. I am more of a painter then a player sometimes

I think them bases from GW get a bad wrap. They're quite effective if done correctly like you have. Very well done sir!

Minor update, sadly i have been sick. But i do have the gem technical paint now so my first model is complete !

I have also picked up the retributer armor spray to test out the warhammer tv paint sceme. The test model is not very far since painting with a headache is not really good. Never the less here is a picture of how far i got. Also painted his eyes different.

Mega sorry for the lame update :(
Note: bases are almost finished though !

Great start mate, always loved the TSons and you're doing them proud. Love those bases too.

Haha I'm glad to hear they are getting along well, I can just imagine the kerfuffle.

little update: Christmas came early so i have been building. The thousand sons got a new toy to play with. used some extra bits from the thousand sons box to pimp up the marine and added the extra staff head as a "searchlight"

Very nice work. Chaos doesn't usually interest me all that much but I really enjoy tsons and thier backstory. It will be exciting to see this come together.

Can never go wrong with a Predator. Your Rubrics are coming along nicely!

Also, on the 2 marines their boltguns have like runic symbols on them. What do you use to paint them? It looks great how you've done it.

Minor update again. The weather is to cold to spray here and my black spray is empty :(. So my thousand sons squad is on hold till i can spray them black and gold again.

On the brighter side. The predator has a base coat and i can work on that.

And a friend of mine gave me awesome pre christmas present

Sorry for the long delay, life kind of happened and it got me out of painting a while. Even thought i got myself something to cheer me up and get back into painting, even though the rest still is not finished.
and it even fits my army some sort of way

I am following the tutorial from duncan on warhammer tv and currently working on building the highlights with drybrushing. Have not figured out yet how to get the drybrush smooth.
