Hi ive just got back into age of sigmar in the last few months, and have been using beastclaw raiders and varients of destruction added in like bonesplitterz and normal ogres.
And im getting a little bored as all i do is run forward and charge.
So been looking into doing a more shooty list with still some close combat to keep the back line alive.

WayWatcher - 100 (general)
Wayfinder -100
Wayfinder -100
Wayfinder -100
Celestial Hurricanum with battlemage -320
Celestial Hurricanum with battlemage -320

10 Glade Guard -120
10 Glade Guard -120
10 Glade Guard -120
6 Treekin -200
6 Treekin -200
6 Treekin -200

Hows it look? need as much feedback as possible before i invest. thanks

It's quite a hard list, although you could make it quite a bit harder. If that's your goal I'd consider one of the following:

3x Wayfinder (one as general) - 300
2x Hurricanum w/ Battlemage - 640
2x 6 Treekin - 400
2x 20 Glade Guard - 480
10 Glade Guard - 120
2x Gryph Hound - 80

Alpha strikes are one vulnerability of a list like this and Gryph hounds are a hard counter to that. The EG are there mostly to make the points add up but they also provide some model count to help with the objective game and can provide a big bubble wrap in a way that the treekin won't be able to.

An alternate would be something like:

Lothern Sea-Helm (General) - 100
2x Wayfinder - 200
2x Hurricanum with Battlemage - 640

30x Glade Guard (360)
30x High Elf Archers (300)
2x 10 High Elf Spearmen (160)
6 (or 2x3) Treekin (200)
1 Gryph Hound (40)

This version is a bit more versatile in the shooting with the glade guard block being excellent against heavy armor while the high elf archer block is excellent against light armor. The sea helm command ability is amazing on the archers, and you still get two hail of doom arrows. Your melee is a bit weaker in this build, however.

Please note that the large unit size on the Glade Guard/Archers DOES matter because Hurricanums only give +1 to hit no matter how many you have. Having multiples gives you more ability to spread out the radius but the bonus does not stack.

Thanks for replying in so much detail, alot to take in i couldnt even find the rules for Lothern Sea-Helm though so not sure on his command ability.

I think i prefer your 1st list if i dropped it to 2x10 and 1 x 20 for the glade guard and then added a waywatcher for the general as i like that he has 18inch bubble -1 to hit in shooting phase.

Ahh, yeah I didn't see the command ability because I was looking at the old warscroll. My bad!

Lothern Sea-Helm's command ability makes a unit unable to move but you get to reroll all hit, wound and armor save rolls for that unit until the next turn. He also has a bubble giving nearby Highborn units +1 to wound.

Is there a good alternate unit instead of treekin as i cant even see them anywhere to buy. but for 100 points they seem super strong.

Lothern Sea-Helm's command ability seem better in a high elf army but i wanna stick mainly to wanders just seems hurricanums are must add in any shooty list.

Yeah, in my second list the sea helm ability would be used on the high elf archers.

Kurnoth Hunters are pretty similar in melee efficiency to Tree-kin. They are quite a bit more powerful but also cost more.

You can find Tree-kin on ebay sometimes, or you can convert your own if you are good with greenstuff.
