Da Bitchin Wagon (WIP) - Based on a Tamiya 1:35 KV.2 "Gigant". This model will be the second conversion. The first model was trashed in my last move and I realized it wouldn't hold up well in transit, so I tore of the rear ramp, Krusher, and platform (not shown). The conversion that stayed (so far) are - cutting off 1/4 of the turret, cutting out the rear engine compartment, cutting out the track guard supports.

All very orky and the second Tank looks damn cool. Maybe you can do some work on the lascans they look a bit... red.

Does that crow's nest make it more difficult for it to be in cover?

About the "Lascannons look too red" comments. I like red. They aren't called "the KRIMSON klaws" for nothing. But, yeah, they are a little blah so I think I'll add some checks and/or dags to the muzzles and paint the wires assorted colors.

As far as the Battlewagon is concerned, here are some pics of the work I did this weekend...

Added the "outrigger" transport areas and most of the walls.

Ripped out most of the rear bay - including the "engine wall" (this will get a revamp of more gears, pistons, and 2 exhausts to either side), added a new ramp (it goes up n down too)

Thinking of extending the Zzap gun barrel - what do you think?
Original "Snub Nose" Barrel

Extended Barrel

As far as "more Dakka", there will be 2 TL Big Shootas on each outrigger "corner".

And yes, there is enough area to fit all 20 Boyz on this 'Wagon (9 per outrigger, 2 in the rear bay - after exhaust install.)

Definitely go for the extended barrel, it looks great. With the TL BSs it'll look awesome. Great job, dude!

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Clayman: I don't have any pics of buggies because they are, sadly, gone. I do plan on making a squad in the future (and when I do, they'll appear here) but they aren't in my army list right now. I plan on scratchbuilding an entire biker squad for my FA, which will take up a lot of time. However, there may be one for my Trukk boyz and for my Mad Doc in the offing soon after that.

Another day, another update:

Walls have been added to the outriggers

I'm thinking of adding L-shaped styrene to the bottom and corners (along with bolts/rivets)...

I've finished work on the rear bay, engine wall, and exhausts (although they aren't glued in yet)

Wow...makes me wanna play Orks.....and I have a bitter hate for Orks! (Not as a army or Ork players, but as an Imperial)

I say make the barrels on the Lascannons uneven. Seems very Orky. Could have one pointing in a slightly different direction to the other one as well.

Work on the Battlewagon continues...

I've removed the TL Big Shoota on the turret and replaced it with a Bolt-On BS, closed the turret hatch, added the 2 rear-facing Bolt-On BSs, added the mounts for the 2 TL Big Shootas on each outrigger.

My favorite addition though is the Krusher. Not only does it roll, it also moves up and down. Since I didn't have any pipes or tubes big enough, I used my brush cleaner bottle (cut of the top and bottom, added 3 circular supports inside, 2 end-caps, and 3 strips around the outside.

Thought I'd just share pics of my Warboss (Da Krimson King) and his 2 attack squigs (the longest living - usually DKK eats them at the end of the season!)
