In the spirit of "A Tale of 3 gamers" in our local group 3 gamers step up and decide to get into HORDES and issue each other a painting challenge.  Get a new model done to the best of your ability every 2 weeks or pay up $10.

Neat idea. The paint or pay up thing. What does the money go towards if you are deliquent?

I'd just pay the 10 bucks up front and have you pay me when I'm done. Punishment
seems to work best for me.

All participants who fail to get their model done pay $10 each, which is divided amongst those who DID get their model done. So at the first 2 week review, since Raef didn't make it, he paid Craig and I each $5.

It's not a lot of money, but the mental thought of having to pay up really does motivate.

Seriously though, that is good motivation, just because I would hate for my buddies to rub the $5 in my face.

What's even more humerous is that the whole bet idea was Raef's, and he was pushing for a 1 week time limit arguing two weeks was too long!

I'm pretty low-key when it comes to competitive stuff. So even
with money on the line I probably wouldn't hit the deadline. Just
