Getting some slow progress on the armour plates of my knight. Really should learn to airbrush, would make the yellow a bit easier..

Ooof yellow over black, well it looks quite nice but I imagine there was a lot of work to get it that way.
Finished popping out battle systems stuff, scatter is all assembled, I just need to build the buildings now. During the downtime that I was using to clear the sheets I'm now filling in the edges of some of the scatter with cheap markers to help disguise the fact that it's all card. And occasional superglue strengthening.

I must concur... I've done 4 House Hawskshroud knights now, and building the armor up from white is, IMHO, a much easier task than building from black....
One thing that has helped me immensely in that, is as the layer paints begin to dry up on the brush, dip the brush into your water and hit the armor again turning the paint almost into a wash. It'll take an extra coat or two, but keeping the yellows thin and moving is key to brushing something that large.

Ah. Technically that's the 4th Edition Codex.
I didn't finish the Guardians, but I did at least get the base coat of yellow and the Agrax Earthshade wash done, so now I "just" need to do the helmets (blue-blue ink-blue), armour highlights (Averland Sunset), guns (black-grey edging) and various details (soulstones, etc)... and the bases.
Oh, and I did a bit more on my two Warlocks.

Working at The Games Den this morning, then a game of 40K or two this evening at the local club in their weird homebrew campaign involving Primarchs and Daemon Primarchs in the 42nd Millenium.

Dear Bob, please, please I sincerely hope that is my X-Men starter set finally, finally finished being painted...
I was flocking the base tab tonight, then it's tidying up the base and, finally, maybe just maybe done.
Magneto is on the list, then I'll have my first standard game sized painted force of, well anything, since my Deadzone Plague Strike Team back in March 2014!

i Purchased some natural hair brushes and started using them. Holy crap did they hold their point better. Which made it so much easier to control where the paint went. I am working on some khador models for a journeymen league that starts this weekend. On a side note I am still learning to control the water in my wet palette.. next time.
back to painting red.....

Today after work I am going to continue to paint my brass scorpion for my black legion. I was nervous at first but I am thinking the black armor plates and gold trim is going to look pretty bad *. Maybe I'll get the bodies tangled in the wires done today.
