Painting some 15mm ultra modern spetsnaz operators for GRUNTZ.

I got 2 games of Warmachine in for my journymen league. I went 1-1, man I rolled bad during the loss stupid Kozlov... Now to some assembly and painting while I listen to the rain.

Finished the battlesuits. It went mostly well except for the barrels are oh so slightly off center. I hate that my eye is like a magnet for that.

Assembled a Vyper and a Falcon... well, as far as I can while leaving all the spaces accessible.

Otherwise, still trying to convince myself to paint the librarian... it's not working very well. I do not know what it is about this mini, but I just do not want to deal with it.

Painting Deathwatch veterans. I have 4 done, just need to finish the squad Sgt. Next up is a couple terminators. I've got a DW th/ss and a SW 2xLC guy on the block, with the Deathwatch pads.

Attempting to find a better way to make the dungeon walls I want to make. Got some hobby supplies too: a 3 foot metal ruler which will be nice for making long even strips of plasticard, some superglue with the brush applicator which will be especially good for sealing some of the more delicate battle systems pieces, some more blue tack because that stuff never goes out of style but it does tend to go missing, and some other miscellany...plus the D&D 5th ed DMG and the starter set just 'cause the adventure sounds neat.

Played in a local tournament today with my Tau, went 2-1 and ended up in second place based on my scores. My best tournament finish yet! I also picked up a copy of the new White Dwarf (including the SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE), a copy of the Black Legion supplement, and a set of the new Heretic Astartes psychic power cards.

Looking to base the Karist Angel I painted yesterday during the Redskins game. Hopefully will finish up the remaining Minnow's tonight as well! Really digging the Maelstrom's Edge mini's, lots of fun.

Finally got through the base-painting on the librarian and started highlighting. He looks a lot less daunting now, but my SO decided that the blue was not bright enough. One more highlight on the blue should not end up too odd... I hope... even though I quite like the spaces with more dense blue as they are. Oh well. Not my model.

Debating between expanding my Marines or starting Dark Eldar

On Sunday I had a 2000 Ork v Elder game. He came over at 11.15...we got started about 1!

I used all the models from Stormclaw to make a teleport attack on turn 1, I was hoping to back up with a Da Vulcha Skwad (36 boyz) but they turned up on turn 4, by which time it was all over. Still. good game.

Went to local GW and got a White Dward and some paint and brushes.

Went home, had two beers....ordered more paint, the Imperial Sector building set, and a box of Lootas.

Busy evening this eveing so I spent just an hour super gluing magnets to the bases of Deathwatch and Orks.

Tomorrow, more magnets - need to get Genestealer Cult, Tau from KT and some demons all done.

After some experimentation I managed to 3d-print something resembling a Mars-pattern Predator Executioner turret.

Painted the Imperial Fist Terminator and finished the Dire Avenger Exarch from the Relic expansions. Sealed the Broodlord and did some work on the Daemonette and Berserker. It'll take me a bit longer to finish stuff up, but I intend to have every Relic bust painted in short order. Pretty much letting my housemate run the Terminator any time we play, since the dice rolled against her ALWAYS roll 6 (explode for additional damage). Doesn't matter which die is used, or who rolls it against her.

Tried out some inexpensive primer. Poppy-seed red...it's got a satin finish and I didn't think I'd mind...but god, it looks terrible. Thank goodness it was only one marine.

Lost a 1000 point SM vs Tyranids game. I forgot that Tyranids have their points spread out, while I had only a few expensive units. Got to try out the Chaplain though, and the re-rolls on missed to-hit rolls are pretty good. Might try it with an Assault Squad sometime.
Going to see if we can arrange a rematch. Knowing my opponent, she'll just jump at the chance to win again.

Trying to figure out a color scheme for my Miner 40kers, mining colony pdf using GSC models.

Sketched out and sealed my AOP baseboard. Probably did it wrong. Yay!

Built some more Devil's Run vehicles. Managed to snap a foot off a 20mm resin figure trying to separate him from the sprue and had so much fun sticking it back together...

Drybrushing and sponging the LR....

Played (and lost) a 500 point game of 40K. Highlight included my Ironclad Dreadnought single-power-fistedly murdering almost 70 cultists before Lorgar smashed it to teeny weeny bits.

Failed to finish my Fire Dragons (but bought more instead).

Still working on my Slaughterpriest for this weekend's painting comp at the local GW.
