This time it wasn't a break in to steal stuff. It was 1am and the guy kicked down a door to get to me and my family, he wasn't there to steal, just wanted to do violence...

Imperial Royal Guard Attack Shuttle... Because I wanted to... ^_^

Only a couple of days into it. I went with dark grays at first, but that didn't quite do it for me... this is much more to my liking...

It's for X-Wing. I've just taken closer than normal photos ^_^

And this ends the airbrushing work... I'm slow with my airbrush... Someone said it needed more contrast so I decided to add a line between the Grey and the Red. I then washed it to give it that 'been flown' look...



And then I decided to do the engine glow in the traditional blue...

Looking good...the engine glow works well, and the additional stripe definitely works better, good call that man.

plus, the shuttle is one of my favorite little ships...
altough, now every time i see one, thanks to Family Guy, i think of it landing "delicately like a butterfly"...

I really like how the shuttle and TIEs came out. Certainly a far sight prettier than the stock models!

Lovin it, I repainted all my Interceptors to Emperor's Guard Red as well!

Took second in our last local tourney with 3 Guard Intercepters and Carnor Jax, so great knocking out the guys rocking Tie spam and tooled up Falcons

Thanks guys. I like how it looks, I was tempted to do some more highlighting, but this works enough for gaming miniatures. ^_^

I'm a Star Wars geek, so I love the concept, but like all games I don't get many chances to play ^_^

Beautiful work vent. Yep... good choice indeed.

So here's my current WiP. I started it today, I've only painted Imperial stuff to date, so this was quite different. I also decided not to use my airbrush as I did for the imperials. I started it as a test miniature, to pick the right colours more than anything. I was using an airbrush paint to do this light stuff, but it didn't work to well with a brush...



About 80% done at this point. Paints used: Vallejo Game Stonewall Grey, Goblin Green. Extraopaque Heavy Charcoal and Game Ink Sepia. Also used Vallejo Sepia Wash.

Any advice would be awesome ^_^

Alrighty, finished. At the end I changed the grey to a lighter shade, but only on some of the wing panels. This is because the heavy charcoal is to close to the black of the canopy. Overall I'm quite happy, Next will be a B-Wing to see if works as well. I'm OK with the engine glow, but without a visual representation of the output it looks a little weird...
