ATTENTION 40K PLAYER NEEDED

Hi guys, we've got a new player coming down next week who is after a 1500 point 40k game.

I'll be bringing my guard but being the first session of a new month will probably be busy for the first part, so if any members are able to offer their services it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Spank

I have to admitt I'm getting a little bit worried about the size constraints.

However two things need to happen before we get more room.

1) I need to speak to the school, and see if we can get additional/larger room. A larger room would be good but I think, due to other clubs run at the school, it would mean we would either need to change day or time. A additonal room would be more likely but we woud need to have monitors in both rooms to ensure the code of conduct is adhered to and that the classroom is kept in good order.

2) Based on the current price the club would need at least 16 full time members each month in order to afford it.

@ Wesker

Its hard to say, including your good self we've had 19 full members, which is more than enough to cover it. However if you mean what i would call "consistent members" the numbers are a lot less. I'm hoping that the change in pay and play price will create a number of new "consistent members".

please note my use of the term "consistent members" is in no way meant to be an insult or dig at anyone, I understand and appreciate that not everyone can afford or wants to be a member on a regualr basis and would like to apologise in advance if this has in any way given offence.

@ Nick, Gorillawizard, Formosa

I've read the Infinity quick rule and i'm interested. I've downloaded the full rules and will hopefully get a chance to read them this weekend.

Quick question about starting an army though, i'm thinking Pan Oceania, do i have to get the starter pack or can I get the shock army of Acontecimento instead?
admittedly at this point i don't know the differnce in game play terms but I prefer the minis

@ Spanky

Although i've given up on Infinity myself (basically i've got into too many systems that my brain fryed and got rid of a few) i can still give you some advice.
The best way to start pan O is with the normal pan O starter box and go from their but of course if you want to you can go with the Acontecimento.

The Pan O starter will give you a good insite into the game and then you can make a decision on where to go from their... Close combat or range. It will also let you take whatever troops the Pan O offer.

The Acontecimento starter is a sectorial army. The sectorial armies are covered in the 'Human sphere' book. Basically you can only take specific troops from the Pan O army. But with sectorial armies you can link troops which are the same type and move or fire etc etc with them at the same time.

I'll bring my books with me on Monday and let you have a look through them if you like. You can then read the rather excellent fluff too.

Just a heads up that I'm not going to be down on Monday, this is mainly due to lack of money.

@Gorillawizard; Is it ok if we re-arrange our Warmachine game for the following week?
