Yeah.. It's my current favorite marine Objective. It can fit just about anywhere and doesn't take up gobs of space so you can fight around it easily!

Lamenter Librarian Dread armed with force staff. Need to finish off the base and the mold lines on the arm.
With Force axe.
There is a force sword but I forgot to transfer the pic.
Two other Dreads in the works .. A normal dread and an Ironclad. WIP

I still have lots of stuff to do for them. Contemptors, Centurions, fill out some heavy weapon choices & special weapon options ( plasma and GG), More Death company, 3 more Landraiders, 3 Storm Talons, 1 more storm raven. a 2nd vindicator, 2 whirlwinds. 2 ven. Dreads. 3 more bikes ....this is what's sitting on the shelf.....now I'm depressing myself.

Thanks y'all.
More work on the other dreads. Ironclad done ( with HurBtr only). Hope to finish up the other normal dread tonight. So far I've only finished the AC/ CC weapon w flamer load out. I gotta order some Dread AC's.
Basing need to be finished as well.
Looking at getting our first game of the 7th ed. next week. Were gonna start out with a simple list of no flyers and Heavy's. Psykers required!

After Git's comment about cleaning up his work space. I looked at the room I work in and decided it was a mess. So spent some weekend time cleaning up. Unfortunitly I have a 6 by 8 foot work table thus I move projects around; so when it's full I've really got a mess.
Got it cleaned and started to work on the other piles of boxes. Mostly terrain stuff. Now that I have the space I will try to get an Army shot.
I work at a Mfg plant and with some engineers. A while back they had a scale model of storage tank system they installed. They were just gonna toss it so I asked if I can have it.
A lot of the beam structure was already broken apart ( What would Graven do? .. so I took them too! ) but the Tanks and piping was still intact. Should make intresting terrain.
I've gotta clean up some of it before I take some pic's - Lot of dust.

I'm going to try and squeeze in some terrain pieces this summer, both for my local store and for myself. My FLGS has some poor selection of terrain pieces, it's slightly embarrassing. A lot of stuff is cast walls, basic foam board buildings or has a very Steampunky look. Good for WM, not so much for 40k.

Here is what I salvaged. There is a Lamenter JP Marine on one of the tank to show scale.
Some of the tanks are done with plastic walls, most are foam. I started coating the foam ones with Gesso so I can paint them after I fill the gaps. There is also a box full of the piping that was used to attach everything together.
On the left side are all the girders and building structure that went with the model. Some nice size peices. Larger that what you'd see in hobby stores.

I'm torn between making set pieces or individual pieces. My plan is to do a battle board type terrain that is just the inside of a manufactium. With giant Gears as hills and moveable superstructure as terrain.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Not really .. with so many large models now it can be of a decent height. I believe in sight blocking terrain ( wraithknight size included) .
I have to look at the Kickstarter WM showed me at Adepticon. Thinking 1x1 tiles would be easier to arrange as well as give me more opportunity to create different pieces.
I'm planning to go with a red dust eviroment ( think Mars - there was a WD pic with a Red Corsair bastion that was the right color I'm thinking of using ). I think it would be cool with the machines steel and black parts, bronze and colorful hazard striping.
This will take a bit of time. I'll need to channel my inner Dakka master builders or at least perform the gravenistic rituals for ideas!
Anyway that's the eventual plan.. we'll see how long this takes. ( also it would be a cool contrast against the Lamenter's Yellow or the Mantis warriors green )

Hi Solar_lion, I have been really enjoying your thread, your lamenters look fantastic, I have always loved their fluff and really like their colour scheme. BE.. Thanks for checking in. Always good to have another BW brother.. With all the focus lately on the HH it often gets overlooked on how many elements were involved.
It taken a while and it kinda creeped up n me but I have quite a large lamenter force and still more in the wings.

Got my first Game of the 7th in . More like worked thru the rules than a game. Only did 750 pts marine vs. marine. No flyers and no heavies. Must include a psyker.
Spent a lot of time looking things up, thou I think the rules have in some cases been made simpler. Familiarity with the rule book slowed us down, I like the psychic phase. It was confusing at first but I think it makes sense and adds an additional level of strategy to the game. I can imagine heavy psyker armies now are a must . Kinda like flyers have now become. We tried to get a little bit of everything. We played using some of the more structural building terrain as shootable targets. This added a new element to the shooting phase. Yellowbeards Firehawks managed to explode a building with most if my army in it causing a vicious amount of causalities. Thou it was a cool. It will cause us to think differently about how we use cover. It’ll probably be important to talk through the AV of normal buildings prior to deployment. We probably should have made them a bit tougher than we did. Still just when your pounding away from your in cover fire base… someone drops the building on you. Was epic!
The objective cards are great and probably the biggest game changer as well as the most liked part of our game. It was a blast seeing the game progress with each card altering the course of the armies. Read the scenarios well if you’re not familiar as each mission is a bit different on how you use the cards. And since the card generate victory point chances, it’s important to do right.
So next up will be the big test. 2k per side . 2 1k armies. Time to add to the learning’s and allot more searching the rule book. Can’t wait!

I can understand almost everything you mentioned in here, as my buddy Denis & I had our first 7th game 3 weeks ago, with almost the same setting (1000pts, 1+ psyker, Maelstrom of War missions with Tactical Objectives) !
What we also noticed is that dice-rolling the Tactical Objectives was rather tedious, so we've planned to buy the GW cards (yeah, we're fanboys too )
Keep it up !

Hopefully I'm not confusing you. I don't always translate to page what I mean ( always typing too fast ). The cards are worth it. One thing to remember is that each player should have a set of cards. This I learned from the new Ork cards. They indicate they replace some of the current ones in the deck. In our game we played with only one deck thus would be confusing if you added the Ork card and your opponent wasn't playing Orks. Probably wouldn't of happend if we were rolling. Still nice to have them in front of you as you go.
Trying to get a bigger game on the 3rd.

That being said, I got my first limited edition codex with Orks and I don't feel totally cheated. I don't know what this has to do with your blog, but there you go. I know Ice feels cheated, because I haven't brought it over to his house and just left it there...yet.

Truely I'm Honored!
That said, I thought the cards were handy! Necessary... no. As for the Ork Codex.... I was expecting more... I'll expect the current reigning Dakka Ork players will let me know soon enough if it's at least capable of competing .
