How's this looking? I honestly don't know what's going on. Jeremy does some work on the drawing files sometimes and that's pretty much all I know from the updates. Will we get our stuff in November? Has anyone got any info about manufacturing / shipping etc?

The company that's doing the 3D Prints always seem to be 2-4 weeks behind their estimates which is what's slowing down the process. Jeremy has been really transparent and upfront with those who pledged, so I have faith that it shouldn't be too far behind schedule, but at this point it seem out of his hands.

That said, I asked in a live stream if it would be around January or February until we got the models and while he didn't directly say it would be, it was heavily indicated. Basically as soon as the remaining models are sculpted and the prints are made, it's all easy going from there.

I'm concerned about the time this is taking. I support jeremy, but he's been working on just the plague angel and the tree woman for weeks....WEEKS. What about all the other models? Plus he keeps working on his computer which he spilled coffee on, he needs to get a new system and show more work. I'm only in for the pincer demon as the funds weren't available for more, but I hope he gets a move on. He has mentioned wave shipping, but not sure how that will happen.

The whole "computer repair" thing just seems like a bad, bs excuse at this point. Pull the HDDs and get a new computer built, transfer your software licences and you're golden. No need for a new monitor, stylus, KBM, etc. There's well over a quarter of a million dollars pledged and clear after Amazon/KS fees.

I'm in agreement with Theo-I confess I'm getting cold feet about this also. I'd like to know that the models are being made now that he's taken my money. Sculpting videos are all well and good, but I'd like to see evidence of a return on my pledge. I may have been waiting a good long while on Heresy's super duper dragon but I at least know he's rolling them out and get frequent updates on production.

I've yet to do the pledge manager because I'm massively torn. I'd love to add more of them to my pledge based on the renders but it seems communication has gone from non-stop personal updates to a few hangouts that aren't really all that useful for what most backers are after. No replies since May in this thread from Jeremy and the last one on facebook was early September and that was just a pledge manager announcement. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in risking more money on what previously felt like an incredibly safe bet from a recognisable industry figure. Especially since as others have mentioned 'coffeegate' should have been solved almost instantly with this level of funding slushing around.

I want to believe, but it's a bit of a struggle right now, a big update or some sort of visible timeline would go a long long way to restoring backer confidence.

Based on communications to date post KS, I'm not sure how much more you should give him...

If you're questioning adding extra, you've got the answer right there,

you already have doubts and they will only get worse as you wait for communication (which Creature Caster does not seem inclined to provide)

so giving them more money is probably just going to cause you grief, so probably just assign the money you pledged and wait for retail for anything else as you'll sleep better

(I'm actually a bit disappointed with the lack of follow up on this one as there was so much talk during the KS it seemed as if they'd keep it up afterwards)

I feel like my forced drop to a token $1 pledge due to bills was a bullet dodged. It looks like this is going to wave shipping as well, which can only be bad news with this being one of those "pay for actual shipping costs when we ship" campaigns. Remember, it's supposed to be delivered next month. It won't be, obviously. The excuses are "coffee on my computer" and "the 3d printer is taking longer than they said". It's just a normal KS where the creator spins as much BS as they can to get as much money as they can upfront, and then every issue becomes everyone else's fault. He talked a better front end, but the computer thing just removes any trust I had for the guy, given how easily it can be fixed by someone with NO computer knowledge for a relatively modest sum in the scope of this KS - take it to a computer store for them to fix while also buying a new machine. I just hope for you guys who stayed in that it doesn't turn out to be Imbrian MK2.

Creator Jeremy Glen 1 day ago
Computer is getting wiped and all the software will be re-installed today. I would have replaced the computer a while ago, but each attempt at fixing it was supposed to work, and the hardware in it is state-of-the-art. Knowing what I know now I would have done things different, but such is life.
Last week was a really dark week. Sunday was a huge bummer, as the live show was unwatchable. Not a good time for me. After the new computer rig gets on track I will be able to broadcast and even sculpt while broadcasting. That will make the whole waiting-for-modes-to-get-finished stage a lot more fun for everyone.
So far, the pledge manager does not have a closing date, but there will be a bajillion warnings before it closes. There might even be a possibility for a re-opening for newer models, or a final tweak stage. For now, treat is like it will be your last chance to lock tho.
.... and no liquids next to the new computer please Finished Plague Angel updates before the end of the week.

See? Getting wiped and a complete reinstall. Think this time it will be fixed? By the way, would you like to buy some magic beans?

I too am worried by some of these typical Kickstarter red flags. The constant computer "issues" isn't ringing all that true to me.

I was going to add a bunch more as I was only in for a silver but I've definitely switched to a wait and see approach now.

I pledged for the Pincer Demon on a whim, but I'm regretting it now.

I get the feeling that a November delivery goal was never going to be attainable.

Sadly, I am feeling a strong case of "Imbrian Arts" style deja vu with this one.

I don't think he reads this does he? Surely he'd have something to say. I guess the communication is one way only now that we've given him dollars.

There's this on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XsXYTxRooo seems that there might be something of substance here, hard to tell. Anyone watched it? TLDR?

ok, skimmed it. Some prints shown so a lot more informative to me than I'm used to on this KS.

He shows Vrock prints and Pincer Demon prints as well as the Warrior Demon and Spider Demon. I think Jeremy has been very genuine and transparent in what is going on. Professionally speaking I would have replaced the computer by now. In my experience I haven't had any kickstarter campaign deliver on time. There is no way to foresee all of the problems that can cause delays.

I have started looking at kickstarter campaigns differently. Now knowing that whatever I'm pledging for is probably months to over a year out once you factor in inevitable delays, no matter what the projected timeline is, I look at how much of a discount I'm getting as a backer vs. just buying them retail later. I'm less and less inclined to pre-pay for minis I won't see for a year or two. I mean if you pledge $500 on something and they keep your money for a year or more before you have anything to show for it you have to think of what you could do with that money if you had it all that time. So for people looking at doing future campaigns you have to ask yourself are they giving you enough of a discount and/or enough freebies to justify having your money tied up for an indeterminate amount of time.

I've been meaning to ask, but has he said anything about if he will cast and ship things out in stages? I only pledged for a silver EB, had been thinking about upgrading in the PM but my gut feeling (and financial situation) spoke against it, so I decided to just stick with a warrior demon. This was his first completed sculpt I believe, but am I still likely to have to wait on delivery until the plague angels, tree women and whatnot are also done?

We'll find out soon enough eh.

I'm not too worried....yet. However people are right that the computer excuse is starting to wear a bit thin now - he's been saying that sculpting has continued unabated on his older machine, so even accepting that he'd have to devote more time than expected to poking the overdue 3D print company and dealing with the new PC issues, I don't understand why he couldn't have dropped a few picture & text updates while awaiting the new machine's repair.

Yeah, no. This discussion was had in the Raging Heroes thread/debacle - hitting "Print Screen" a few times during one of your sculpting sessions, cropping the images in paint, and posting "hey guys, here's where we're at with X model, no news on the 3D prints yet I'll keep you in the loop" takes all of two minutes effort, and expending that level of effort every few days or once a week is not "constantly" updating. Hell he wastes an hour+ every weekend with those hangouts that are 90% chatting and personal banter, 10% actual news about the KS in most cases, asking he spend an extra couple of minutes to post that relevant 10% as text & pics on the KS page is hardly monstrously unreasonable.

Hey don't get me wrong, I actually quite enjoy the hangouts, Jeremy is a personable bloke and his enthusiasm is infectious, but they're a piss-poor method of communicating the status of the project with backers. I'd rather the videos were a once-in-a-while thing done to keep people invested in and excited by the process and actual project updates were picture & text updates on the KS page - I can read even a lengthy update in a fraction of the time it takes to watch through a whole video(and because of the format you can't just skip to the appropriate part, as the actual information is scattered all over the place).

However the comments section there is largely campfires and Kumbaya.

The most vocal backers quickly jump on any questioning of the delays as unimportant and that all KS are delayed.

The heavy focus on Nov delivery and its achievement during the campaign was a key decision for me to invest.

The sculpter has now indicated that rather than production delay the extended delivery is due to the sculpts not being completed.

I was going to up my pledge to get extra models but I'll wait for retail now.
