I just hope they get the balance on the production model right - that thing looks top heavy as hell.

Yeah, looks like it could be the Topplebomination.

And the "giant" appears to be human sized for ...reasons? I mean, I know it's just representative, but the other figures in the ZC games (including this one) are scaled in relation to one another.

The Abominatroll is an Abomination, and as such it gives 5 XP when killed and its attacks cannot be blocked by armour rolls. Unlike other Abominations, however, a Damage 3 weapon is not enough to kill it. This monstrosity can only be destroyed by Dragon Fire!

The Abominatroll is big, very big, but also incredibly stupid. It will roam around aimlessly until it spots a Survivor. But when it does see you, it will go mental and rush to tear you apart! The Abominatroll normally has only 1 Action per activation. However, if it activates with Line of Sight to any Survivors, it will then get 3 Actions for that activation! Hide away from this freak, and you may evade it. Get caught in the open and you will be well and truly trolled!

This is great!

Almost as good as the AbomiFatty.

The Guest Box bloat nearly put me off of backing this campaign at all. Most of them are very uninspired, but the completionist in me wanted to pick up as many of them as I could when there were around three of them. If I end up backing the project, I may pick up the brothers' boxes and Gipi's box (I appreciate it for its low-fantasy qualities), but that's it.

Yeah.

I'm a bit over the guest boxes as well. There's a few too many, and somehow I didn't mind paying $10 for the extra characters in regular ZC not only because of the pop culture references, but because there were far fewer of them. How many guest boxes are there here now at $20 a pop? 10? That's an extra $200 for the completionist...

Dunno, the overall price isn't much different but this many generic fantasy characters leave me a bit cold.

I'm just being very pick with the guest boxes, think I'm at three so far.

Although, there are already far more minis there than I will probably get through painting!

I love that the adds on are "will be available at retail" guest boxes as opposed to purchaseable KS exclusives.

I think it's a fantastic improvement to how they've run the KSes in the past and is a direct response to customer concerns.

Agreed!

And while it may have 'cost' them some KS funds now, I imagine it will pay huge dividends in the future!

For that I am thankful. That lack of temptation really helps my wallet.

Same here.

I didn't have the discretionary income last time to buy all the KS exclusives due to having a new baby and my attempts to be a responsible adult and all, and I'm glad I don't have to worry about that this time around.

Backed other Zombicide seasons and I really thought I could skip this one. But the $100 deal was good enough to win me over. Come pledge manager I'll see how I feel about the $150 deal and extras. I wouldn't be surprised if extra value was added to the $150 deal by the end.

I'm in for the Knight Level, doors, skeletons, birds, and the colored rings. I think I'll have to wait for the Guest artist packs in January to drop another $200 on them.

Troll in next up Ladyhawke survivors

Add Ons - completely replaces all tokens - the broken walls tokens (card) are in the Zombie Bosses box and are part of the Abominotaur stretch goal

The Plastic Token Pack contains 62 tokens, consisting of:

10x Broken Wall
4x Vault Door
6x Spawn Zone
6x Necromancer Spawn Zone
10x Objective
4x Dragon Bile
18x Noise
1x Exit Zone
1x First Player
1x Rotten
1x Free Action

The plastic tokens from S3 turned out well so I'll get these and I guess that means I need a set of the base covers as it includes the correct colours to match the necromancer spawn points.

*Ten* broken wall pieces!

I haven't kept up with terrain. Sounds like a good price, or lemme know where else I can pick up broken walls!

They are likely to be very small just to represent where the Abominotaur broke through a wall not really suitable as terrain pieces

Whoops -- I should have said if they're good for dungeon terrain, such as Dwarven Forge tiles. I guess I'm looking for 1" wide broken walls? TIA!

EDIT: Thiago of CMON: "Broken Wall tokens should be about 35mm wide. Which I believe is little over 1 inch." Close enough to the size of the larger DF doors!

Saddening you can't get the KS and all it's goodies but I gotta say the troll is awesome in my eyes. Wasn't that impressed with the Werewolf abominations but absolutely loving the frantic crazed troll, and it is huuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

Glory is fleeting. Obscurity is forever.

Er...just stay in for a dollar and get a PM invite?

That is, if they've confirmed that you can do that this time around, of course!

Crossed my mind but I really can't. It's this or Bones, and I'll get more use out of Bones, as well as it being easier on the wallet.

Besides, not like I don't have a room full of stuff to do already, including all the original Zombicide seasons

So have the other campaigns had this many stretches? Should we expect a large delay, or explosion in the shipping estimate?

Honestly, Zombicide seems to be the one they have nailed down the most. The last two delivered early for the base game for each, with the wave 2 for Rue Morgue lagging due to the dockworkers strike. I'd be very surprised if this is delayed at all due to any stretches; in fact, I'd very much expect it in time for the holidays. That's total speculation on my part, but it seems likely due to the previous zombidice track record.

Speculation on my part says it might be sooner as well. My theory is Conan is being produced at the same facility to my knowledge, and with Conan being delayed due in part to their issue with Amazon payment process I could see this having been bumped up the production que. especially since CMON and Zombicide are such no brainers in the industry.

It says on the site that the Jovem Nerd box is limited edition. Is that the only one which is limited edition, or are all of them like that?

I just need to know what I would need to buy now that I won't have access to later on. Cheers

I checked the Nerd update comments, and still no explanation of what "limited" means. Miniature Market has S3 terrain in stock, but I think these (ie. doors, counters, token) are less likely to appear at retail than the Guest Boxes.

fyi, BoardGameWarehouse has Rue Morgue at $60.

That's really excellent to hear!

It's limited in that they are only doing one print run and that's it so backers get theirs whatever is left goes to retail but could be hard to get once it's sold out that's it. All of the others will be kept in production for as long as is necessary.
