Troll Forged Miniatures latest monster is out. The Alien Wyrm!

This kits is a nine piece model with arms that can be posed in the position you like before assembly. It stands a massive 6 inches tall and does not have need of a base. Sculpted by Hive Trygon.

You can get it here.

He's a real cutie, tyranids can use this also perhaps just give him a set of rules and have him attack randomly on the table during a game.

only suggestion, perhaps some kind of blade for the tail, it just kind of stops?

An alternate model for the Trygon perhaps?

As for rules, we are working on a set of rules in the form of Warspike, whilst Warspike is more for historical stuff with full realistic stats for units, weapons, formations, no game balance and multiple scaled wars (from individual actions to skirmishes to commanding entire nations) it is going to be an intense game. Sciror is going to be the sci-fi/fantasy supplement of Warspike which would enable us to introduce all sorts of funky stuff. We have been doing some discussing on a 40k mod for Warspike/Sciror so that people could play against some actual Space Marines, not the weakened down version we see in 40k.

Some links:

Ah, now that's a finely done model. I have to agree on the tail though, it ends rather abruptly. Other than that, finely shaped and sized.

I'll pass on the comments about the tail! Thanks for the feedback guys!

You might want to check out the Alternative range by Troll Forged Miniatures. The point I'm trying to make is that Hive Trygon has really been getting better in sculpting over the last year!

I think that thing's really cool, but WAY too small for the $75 price tag. I wouldn't buy it for more than a third of that, unfortunately.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was that it would make a good Ankheg model, for a gigantic, elder one for my D&D games... then, I saw the price. : )

At 6" tall at the head, with such a slender body, it's not nearly big enough to convey the sheer intimidation that the Trygon model does.

I also agree about the tail, but a better taper, to more of a point, would be good enough of a fix (though a scythe or another weapon end WOULD be cooler).

It's nice looking, though. I've got to give it that much.

Trygon Guard (like Tyrant Guard).

JohnHwangDD - The 40k YMDC stuff is almost entirely TFG-manufactured BS.
Uriels_flame - IF All Chaos SM can be in one codex, ALL SM should be in One Codex.
Sourclams - Looks like a mix of Planetstrike, 40k, and Apocolypse rules. There's nothing to be done here.

@Navarro: Expect some more crazy bug like alien stuff soon, I think you might like it! We've got a discussion going on about that somewhere on our forums. I know you're a member there too so you might wanna check it out!

@Boss_Salvage: Thanks for the support man! We really need it, especially since it's a small company that is slowly trying to experiment with new business models (community/grassroots based stuff)...expect more on that in the future!

@Marshal2Crusaders: I haven't thought of that creature yet! Good one!

I've been a slightly critical of the work you guys have put out before, but because I really wanted to help you guys succeed. This piece here, I really like. The sculpting is impressive all around, the only real gripe I have is that the tail ends abruptly, but any self-respecting gamer can handle that how they want with conversion.(which Tyranid players should be good at as a prequisite). I really like this model.

Critique is good! Keep it coming! We are a small little group who are just starting to learn at the moment!

It's also one of the main reasons why I post it here, besides trying people to buy it (I really need some marketing classes ) we want out sculptors to improve, to learn. So all critique/advice/etc is more than welcome!

Triple post! Well no worries, Hive Trygon is currently working on some commission stuff so the new releases will be delayed a tiny bit. However, in the meanwhile I'd like to show you some concept art by our very own wormwood for some more stuff of the alien range we are currently working on!

Hmm, the shipping... From what I figured Ed simply sends the stuff from the US to where you want him to send it to, you have to pay for the shipping costs. I asked Ed how much it is and I hope to get a reply around that soon.

I haven't gotten an answer from Ed yet, however one of our customers from the UK had to pay $6 shipping costs.
