Good to see some progress! One thing to note is to try and go lighter on your primer coat. Looks like you're obscuring a lot of the details.

Need a bit more detail picked out on the shoulder pads, but otherwise look good. Almost a cell shaded look (which you've kinda always had).

Thanks, man. Hopefully I'll do a little better with the Vets shoulder pads... doing the 'black' of the Ravenwing was kind of difficult... the white on the Apothecary was kind of hard too. I think I should have done a wash on the Apothecary and then go over again with white. The other 2 guys could have used a wash too... plus the primer on these guys was kind of thick like some of the previous stuff.

Applied Caliban Green for the start of the armour:

 Washed with Biel-Tan Green:

Next I mixed some Warpstone Glow with Caliban Green for the next layer.

It's kind of hard to tell in this comparison pic:

Here is one with the Warpstone Glow/Caliban Green mix layer:

Here is one without the layer:

Next I mixed more warpstone glow into the mix to get a brighter green:

Here's a close up shots of the above:

Next I worked on the robes... I went simpler than I had planned.

First I applied Zandri Dust for the first layer:

Next I applied a wash of Seraphim Sepia to the robes.  It provided an excellent shade effect so I stopped there.

These pics don't do them justice... the flash or something makes it look blotchier than it actually was:

After this I got a good rhythm going and forgot to take progress pics.

Here's the finished paint job (please excuse the crappy pics):

After the robes I applied some Uniform Grey for the first layer of the 'metal' parts (some areas of the weapons and some areas of the back packs).

I then applied a layer Ash Grey as a kind of highlight to the Uniform Grey.  At the same time I applied Ash Grey to emblem and skull areas as a base.

While letting the layer on the emblem and skull areas dry, I applied Wazdakka red to other parts of the weapons.

Once that was done (and that's all that I did for the red parts), I applied a layer of white to the emblems and skulls.

Two of the vets have helmetless heads with cybernetic eyes... for those I applied Uniform grey for the base of the cyber-eyes, then a layer of Ash Grey, then a dot of Wazdakka Red for the center of the eyes.  For the skin I used tanned flesh and for the teeth, white.

I tried my hand at the eyes of the helmeted heads... just quick dots of Wazdakka Red... most didn't come out to clean but from a distance you can barely tell anyway.

I then worked on the exhausts on the backpacks by applying deep blue then a lighter blue.  As a finishing touch for the exhausts I applied some white along the vents.

I'm not sure what's next... maybe I'll work on the Tactical squads... I have four five-man teams to paint.  Each with a sergeant with bolt pistol and chainsword, a marine with a plasmagun, and three boltgun marines.  I'll most likely use the same method as I did the Vets... or maybe I'll work on the Assault Marines since I won't have to worry about painting robes/cloaks/cloth parts.

Got started on my Legion of Everblight yesterday. I got most everything built yesterday with the exception of the Grotesques. I totally forgot about them. So while I started priming everything else today, I started construction on the Grotesques. Tomorrow I hope to finish up building the Grotesques (I'm waiting for some greenstuff to harden).

Swordsmen

Spell Martyrs and eThagrosh

Nephilim Soldier

You're right I should... totally forgot about something like that...

I'm still not sure on the scheme. I was mostly going to go with 'studio colors' since I did buy their P3 paint color set... but then I also have an idea for red flesh with black armor/plates so they kind of look like 'red devils' or something.
