We have retooled the stretch goals, offered the book up front, and unlocked all of the included minis in the Faction Core Sets. PLUS we are adding cool FREEBIES to just about every other stretch goal making the pledge levels a better and better deal as it goes along.

We are about this close --->] [<--- to making clear plastic bubble helmets available not just for our figures, but for most other figures too.

Brett and I are working on a totally new gameplay demo that details the turn sequence and gameplay mechanics that will be posted shortly.

Stay tuned!
Patrick

Those really look like some good looking figures there. Theres a definate "Heavy Metal" vibe to the project.

Add in those from reaper, and some of those pulp ships I've been seeing, and away we go!!!!

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Thanks Grot 6 and Guildsman!

I really dig the Stern segment from the Heavy Metal film and I'm sure some of that influence has leaked into my designs!

In. I like the look of the Edo and Mekkus factions a lot.

Question - there are models in the video that don't appear in the starter sets (Skip, Wanda, etc). They're just add ons? Which faction?

Those character models are sort of "factionless" at this point and can be used as Lancers or GDF agents.

Really like the look of those add ons, I'm really going to have to be good if I'm going to get in on some of those critters and bots.

Are those robots in parts, or are they cast like that? Any different heads, or other added arms and legs?

Thanks for the kind words on the painting. Will pass that on to Vicky.

The bot on the far left has separate arms and head. We will be making other options further along.

I'm rather shocked that this thread has been fallow so long; the campaign is funded, but (like this thread it seems) has stalled a bit at $30k.

It is a bit on the higher price side for a kickstarter, but I know from experience that Patrick and Co follow through and have a lot of back-end experience on miniature projects.

Personally, I'm probably going to throw in a pledge for the most recently unlocked sniper model;
Spoiler:

I would guess at lest one or two more unlocks are likely before the campaign ends;

In any case, the campaign is closing at 10 PM EST, so not too much longer to wait on things!

I am liking the design of the edo scutter and that hurricane/spitfire jet bike is awesome!

Thanks For the bump Buzzsaw!

Jehan-reznor - those models will eventually see production even though it would be nice to unlock the Scutter to make them right away.

This one likely fell victim to the various Chibi Kickstarters that launched during this one, along with MERCS and Dwarven Forge and...etc.

Backed, but this is my first time doing add-ons for a pledge.

I wanted to grab the cat-sniper model,a long with 2 faction sets. So I chose the $95 level, but backed for $103. Did I do that right? I think I did, but wanted to be sure.

Yep. It's been pretty brutal this time around. We're sticking in there though. Lots of dedicated fans and backers have been along for the ride.

I feel a bit hypocritical saying this since I ain't a backer (haven't backed anything at all now for a while) but this is definitely a campaign that I think deserves more success than it is seeing.

I don't know. I love Cthulhu and I love plastic, but I'm just not feeling this one. Maybe it's a presentation issue? Or maybe the whole Mine Cart fiasco has ruined niche-within-a-niche, "Cthulhu in [subgenre]" board games for me?

I hope it does well, though. I really do want to see some more plastic board game pieces on the market.

The project pool is getting more crowded all the time. It is very difficult to have a project run for a 3-4 week duration and not have it overshadowed by one or more megacorp projects at the same time. We looked at out launch window, and the production period required to make all the stuff we wanted to make and there were just a lot of other things launching, running, and ending at the same time.

All of the growth we have made in the past 48 hours has been offset by the same number of backers pulling their pledges, so the amount has remained the same.

Yeh Kickstarter has actually made it more difficult to be a small outfit. You either have to go big or go home. Before KS I bet that Counterblast would have been a VERY successful venture. The game has totally changed and not for the better in my opinion. Sorry for your trouble Patrick. I hope it works out int he end for you.

Did you mean to post this in a different thread?

On a more campaign related note, only $406 to go until the next unlock!

I think this was in reference to the comment about our campaign falling victim to the launch of the Cthulhu Chibi project among many others running at the same time.

Tre - thanks for the great encouragement, man! You know more than anyone.

Maybe. Maybe I have too many tabs open and am easily confused and tired and just want someone to tell me I'll be all right and where am I and can I have some orange juice and where are my slippers and why does my foot hurt, but most importantly: why are my pants wet.

Wait. Is this the thread about Patrick Keith's retro sci fi models with those Reaper-style Yllyrians and other aliens? Wow. There's not WW2 Cthulhu in there... (Right?)

Now I remember what I was going to ask in this thread: How much would it cost just to pledge for a couple of add on Mechus aggressors and defenders? Or should I just wait for retail?

6 month necrobump, but I wanted to say I received my models from the kickstarter pledge today. Haven't had a chance to dive into the rulebook itself, but the models look fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the money spent. Been awhile since I've worked with metal, and for three of the gals I'll have to figure out who gets which shotgun (I suspect the one with a tail gets the longer shotgun, since the other two guns/girls are identical ). Still, rulebook and models look great!

Anyone else back this and get their stuff?

I got my books and stuff. Have assembled and primed my Lancers and Edo, but haven't tackled the Mekkus yet. Nor have I done anything more than page through the rulebook.

The models are very nice. The Edo are a little fiddly, but nothing major.
