Subject: Prodos Games official news for Warzone and AvP (WZR update 6/17/14)
In their latest update, they revealed that they had to do a minimum order of 5000 for the Special Edition Boxed Game. So they opened up the extras they had to produce for sale.

Relatively astonishing that now, almost a year into the project and a few months past the initial delivery date they are just figuring this stuff out.
Also astonishing that solution is to offer complete pledges and all the associated stretch goals and exclusive items rather then JUST the Special Edition Boxed Games.
These guys are pathetic.

I posted the full communication in the Miscellaneous section of the forum, in the AvP Kickstarter thread - it's worth reading, and is at least an attempt to be honest about the situation.
In summary, I think I'm probably going to focus in on some other stuff for the time being and then see what stage things are at in 6-8 weeks perhaps..

Anyone know the process or method that Prodos Games uses to cast their miniatures? I've seen some of their War Zone pieces and it almost looks like an resin injection molding system.

Some of it is clearly poured resin from 'soft' moulds (based on the blocks you need to remove and the irregular edges of the resin), almost certainly done with a vacuum as there are few if any bubbles

Great to see PSC, which I think is a pretty small company, has got hold of this. The stuff they have done for WW2 has been fantastic, hopefully they will be able to reach a good standard with this also.
Here is a Warzone Resurrection promotional video that asks if you can survive the Warzones of the future. Well can you?
Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates, I have been very busy with the sales side of my job. I am back now and you can expect regular updates going forward.
Now before anyone asks, I am not at liberty to talk about AvP outside of official updates as the come from higher up the Prodos Chain.
It would likely show an immediate difference not only in the sculpt but also the scale compared to the older models. I still have a ton of the old Capital and Cybertronic models.

Yeah there was not way that Prodos was gonna go with anything close to matching the old sculpts as they were fun at the time but are very dated now and on the verge of comical in the way they look.
Pacific, buddy, I really wish I had something new to share on that front. We are waiting on responses from the IP holder, once we get them there will be updates.

It changed scale during the KS process from 28mm to 32mm.

After the KS closed? In the middle of production or before any figs were sent out? Is stuff from one faction or earlier releases out of scale with other stuff?
Edit: Found it with a google search. Sorry I'm out of the loop and this is probably old news for most but apparently they switch after at least some KS figs went out so if you were an early supporter you were rewarded with out of scale minis. Ughhhh.
The scale was changed from 28mm to 32mm just after the KS. We have sorted the scaling issues out quite a while back actually. The newest WZR stuff and AvP are all scaled perfectly. Lets be realistic, Prodos was a brand new company (not even 2 years old yet as a business) to making miniatures when the Warzone Resurrection KS was done and has learned a lot from all the sculpts that have been made from then.
The scale change didn't bother me anywhere near as much as the complete resculpts Bauhaus, Cybertronic, and Brotherhood all received after the KS was fulfilled. The stuff released to retail for those factions looks much better than the stuff the KS backers got. One need only look at the difference in quality between the KS Bauhaus and the retail Bauhaus sets.
The change was not a spiteful thing, it was a what is best for Warzone in the long run. Less fiddly easier to build models are a much better thing for the game and gamers.
I myself have a very large amount of those KS sculpts, they are still good they just take more effort and skill to work with.
Tried to find similar miniatures on the Prodos webpage - but, athough pretty, the site is IMHO completely useless for one such as I, i.e. somebody not the slightest interested in the factions etc. - but just looking for miniatures. Even the Shop is a mess, hard to navigate and with strange photos of the minis.
So: could anybody help me out?
I am looking for miniatures suitable for adding to my existing GW Imperial Guard + Inq28 + Necromunda.
Do *not* want realistically proportioned miniatures (with tiny heads/hands/weapons) but more heroically scaled ones.
I.e. the "Imperial Doomtrooper Andrew Drougan" is out of the question - but "Brigadier Sir P.D. 'Righteous' Rist" might work.
Could the "Dark Legion - Troops - Necromutants" be something for me?
Other suggestions?

As in full book large or just some models?
Its a shame that the tournament is over the Saturday and Sunday. I am seriously considering entering but it will drastically cut down on my gawping time. Also some information on the tournament would be nice; the URL doesn't even work and there isn't a hint of a points limit.
1000 point limit, standard OOC force. You can create two lists; the warlord and troops choices have to be the same but you can change how many in the squad and what upgrades they have, and also swap out the support choices. Here's a working link to the tournament doc:
I'm going, although it does suck a little bit that you have to buy tickets for the show AND the event, yet with games running 10-4, you are hardly going to have any time to make use of your show tickets. But it is what it is, I guess

IMHO almost all of the Imperial minis will work, except for the Imperial Doomtrooper who was sculpted back in the early days of the kickstarter and is thus realistically proportioned (well, ish. His head is a bit small I think). All of the Dark Legion models will work too, EXCEPT the Undead Legionnaires and Golgotha. Valpurgius in particular is a very cool looking model who would fit in as some kind of chaos character in Inquisition.
