Great stuff, like the look of your infinity stuff.

Thanks!

More Infinity stuff now:

The Grenzer, with a colour scheme that may or may not have been inspired by the thought 'that guy looks a bit like Deathstroke'...

And the second Aguacile:

Up next will be the last Fusilier and Aguacile, then we get to the really fun stuff. 8/15 minis done since Thursday, at this point I think getting the whole box done inside a week might just be doable. and then I'll finish off the last few Space Hulk minis and probably redo my Military Order stuff in the newer style.

Ta all!

More stuff, Ladies first:

The final Fusilier, and to match, the final Aguacile, bringing it up to 5 minis per side (if we loosely ally the CSU with the PanO guys )

And something fun, because what good is sci-fi without a dramatic rooftop showdown?

Finally, some group shots of the gang so far:

OK, I have to ask: I’m not familiar with the game, but the chick with the short skirt seems a little out of place among the otherwise gritty future soldiers. Well painted, but a lot of WTF?

Long story short, she's an undercover secret agent/bodyguard, a James Bond type character, so is in civvies rather than military gear. I agree she looks somewhat out of place, but she's more a scenario/campaign-specific mini rather than a general part of the army.

She's ostensibly on the PanOceanian side (the blue guys), but their ops are blowing her cover, so she basically runs round shooting everyone in one mission.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I figured there was something more to her then just cheesecake/fanservice, was wondering what it was.

You'll note her briefcase also turns into a machine gun, which is pretty cool.

I think she may be some kind of robot/enhanced/post-human. The story in the beginning of the book is focused on the Nomads briefing for their mission and they mention hacking the friendly fire protocols of the CSUs so she'll go after the Pan-O too.

Also, great work and I enjoy the group shots.

Looking good para.

I think that settles it, I'll be going for red berets for my fusiliers and UK/euro badges on their shoulders (which I'll have to paint because I can't find decals small enough :()

Cheers for the comments chaps!

Last night I finished off the last few Icestorm minis, so completed my self-set task of getting the lot done within a week. I can't get any pics until about Monday, though.

As for what's up next, I'm not too sure. I still have a couple of Raven Guard Scouts to finish up, I want to redo my Infinity Military Orders in my PanO new scheme, and I need to finish off the last couple of SH Terminators as well. I'm also debating whether to buy the Deadzone Contagion bundle or a Corregidor starter set to round out my Nomads. It's all a bit up-in-the-air at the moment, but there will be more of something soon!

Get the Nomads. The Corregidor starter is a great little set.

I too am loving the new Icestorm Panoceania figures. The new Fusiliers are awesome figures. I'm painting mine up for my cousin who went in on the set with me. I almost want to keep them for myself.

The Nomads are awesome models, some of the first to grab me when I looked into the range, but I'm leaning towards the DZ stuff as a) the solo rules will get me playing a hell of a lot more and b) as great as Infinity minis are, I'm kind of in the mood for the tons of plastic conversion potential that Deadzone box o' Zombies offers...

I saw your work on the PanO stuff, very nice!

Corregidor starter is my vote. Considerably better than any of the deadzone stuff.

The zombies are definitely awesome to clip/twist and assemble. I need to paint a few of them to see how I like that aspect of them though. Looking forward to the rest of your icestorm results.

Can't wait to see your stuff man.

What next? Well I'm biased towards nomads but don't want you to get burned out on infinity stuff so maybe a change of pace is good too.

Thanks. I broke down and ordered some Bolts for myself since I can't get the Fusiliers yet. It's not like I don't already have a bunch of other Infinity stuff to paint first or anything though.

OPERATION ICESTORM IS DONE!

Well, actually it's been done for a few days now, but no came=no pics. Time to fix that...

First up, the Mobile Brigada:

Next, the Reverend Healer. A great mini, and packed with detail, the face was very easy to paint as it was so defined.

And for the boys in blue:
The Akal, on a mission to Sikh and destroy

The ORC. If there's a mini in the set I'm not too happy with, it's this one. The faceplate needs another highlight, I think, and some of the leg plates need clearing up.

And finally. what's 8 feet tall, wears power armour and fights an endless holy war? Yep, that's it, the Father Knight of PanOceania! (sorry, Black Templar fans )

I think I need to retake those pics of him, the black cross I added to the shoulder pad has made the blending hard to see, and the face is a bit hidden. You get the idea, though.

To finish off, the complete sets:

Not bad for 1 week's work, if I say so myself As always, keep the feedback coming!

Thanks guys!

So, now I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to go next, and thought I'd run some ideas past anyone who drops in here.

My to-do list consists of finishing off my Space Hulk Terminators, repainting my Military Orders Infinity stuff, and maybe repainting some of my earlier Deadzone efforts more in-line with my Infinity style, as there's a lot of crossover potential between the two.

Other than that, I have at my disposal:
- A bunch of Inquistion-y stuff that needs painting/fixing up/building from scratch.

- 5 CSM that have been lined up for a second Legion of the Damned squad, but currently have no purpose. I'm considering true-scaling them, as I've never tried that before, but at the same time, I've got no idea where to start with that, as I've never tried it before

- Various Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Grey Knights and misc minis to paint/repaint.

- Various stuff to do some scratch-building.

So basically, I'm open to ideas...

Super speedy dude and they look great, I've not even finished preping mine yet.

Check vet srg's thread on here if your considering doing true scaling on your marines, his marines look great while still looking like marines.

I like tall-scaling. You don't sweat as many of the details like the shoulderpads and stuff, just make them taller and maybe sneak in a more dynamic pose. In the P&M blogs section look for veteran sergeant, he seems to have a bit of an attitude but he does make superb tall-scaled marines. I think the heightening happens at the waist join and with a spacer in each leg. I've also seen it done with terminators.

You may not want to go back after you do it though, fair warning.

Repainting stuff would bug me as I hate to undo previous efforts.

Legion of the damned maybe? Could tall-scale them while you're at it

If I were to true-scale some stuff, it would probably be using the legs+waist extending method, the arms look right to me. I've seen VS's stuff and it would be along those lines. I think, with probably close to 150 Marines in 'normal' scale already it wouldn't bother me that these were different, they'd be purely display pieces as I don't play Chaos. TS LOTD would probably be out as I already have one squad converted, but I may just do a take 2 on normal sized flaming skully marines. I have a few ideas that didn't make it onto the last squad.

It seems most of the painting I've done in the last few months, O:I and SH aside, has been repainting, as especially in the last year or so my painting has come a long way, and I almost can't stand looking at some of the earlier stuff I thought was good. My Wolves and Deathwing have undoubtedly come out better after a redux, if I do go down that road (and I still have the BA I started earlier in the thread to finish up) it shouldn't be too difficult.

Fine then, do your BA! Your reds have been great for your Icestorm stuff.
