I just got back into gaming after a 2 year break and started a new IG army for my reintroduction to 40k 

I wanted shotguns and gasmasks! That means Vet squads and RR if you want to use shotguns.

Here is my vet squad.




Close up of shotgun conversion. Standard lasgun & arms, barrel trimmed down, plastic card detail, and I used a small flathead screwdriver to add the  ejection port. The 3 bumps at the front of the gun are extra shells strapped to the other side.



Close up of gasmask conversion. Made from sprue tabs, old extra armor bolds and plastic rod.



Command squad



Rough Riders on bikes. Used an ork bike to make it different then SM and I saw that great squad here on dakkadakka and liked it. I narrowed the front wheel to make it less "bulky"





And lastly test paint .

I hate painting - so I'm trying wood stain and a basic color scheme to speed things up.

Great work! Just one thing: Drill out the muzzles! Only takes a few seconds each gun and makes 'em look much, much better. Keep it up and thanks for sharing!

Nice Job, they look great.  I like the use of bits and some of the banners from what looks like the Empire banner in Warhammer.

Also like the crossover with the space marine bits.

Thanks all for the comments. Yes the barrels will get drilled out. My pin vise is hiding. The bases are an experiment, I have a laser engraver/cutter and wanted to try out textured plastic card for faster basing.

At first glance I thought that the shotguns were the FW ones. Good job on the simple but very effective conversions.

The Shotshell holders on the left side of the weapons are sweet.
