Pff, have you forgotten both the Shadowkesh and Ada are in wave one? Besides, I plan on assembling and painting my Stormtroopers before the next wave arrives.

What? It might happen...

I too have planned the same... I lie. I have 4 armies unassembled still. *cries* But I'm going to have a lot of fun with the highly detailed accessory sprues! Man that's going to be awesome posing those guys.

I swear I am gonna have mine done too! Might even prime them too!

I am sad that I may miss out on getting my stuff on day it will be delivered. I will be going to Vegas Sunday for most of the week. I would hate to see everyone open all their new toys and mine be stuck at work all alone.

I do love the news updates and their humorous format.

I also love that I'm almost to that final countdown to my Plasticrack.

I had forgotten about the Shadokesh... damn. And for some reason, I had maxed out my Ada pledge, no one was interested in my group but in the past few weeks, they've all asked me for one.

Since I only got myself a single box of Eisenkern and a trio of Heavy weapons, I guess I'll be able to paint it all in time for the girls' homecoming?

Reporting in from Williamsburg Muster. Wargames Factory has a booth and the Dreamforge stuff is available to look at (not purchase). I am hands on with all five kits.

They are without a doubt the best plastic miniatures I have ever looked at or handled in my entire life of 32 years.

The level of detail is crazy. The level of customization is insane. The Leviathan just is absurdly amazing. A marvelous feat of engineering. Also retail is $120 on it. They will be available for preorder soon but only will ship after all KS backers have received theirs.

Dreamforge and Wargames Factory have absolutely conquered the plastic miniatures market. Renedra and Citadel look like crap compared to these kits.

Also I just bought 14 boxes of wargames factory figures and my fiancée is gonna kill me.

But yes everyone will be bleeding joy from their eyes and brains and hearts when they see how insanely awesome the Dreamforge kits look in person.

Awesome. I expected that this stuff would be good, but it didn't have to make "Renedra and Citadel look like crap." Though I'm happy if it does!

Any word on how much Stormtroopers, or for that matter, any of the infantry models will cost?

I'll try to find out more on pricing tomorrow! And see if I can take pics. The Leviathan box is HUGE.

pre-orders page is live on spikey-bits for anyone that missed out on the kickstarter. No deliver dates as of yet because the kickstarter orders need to be filled completely first but there is retail pricing info.

Even at retail the prices are incredible! 20 stormtroopers for less than half of what a box of space marines costs. Bargain if I ever saw one!

That's the 10 man squad. The 20 man squad is $42 at retail. Still, given the apparent quality it's not an outland-ish price. It does make the KickStarter an *excellent* value since you also get the accessories sprue.

They're not unreasonable prices for quality, hard-plastic, multi-part models, though part of me wishes the difference between DFG and GW was just a smidge wider. I suppose it won't matter too much if judgedoug is right though; people tend to not mind paying for quality goods as much as shovelwares.

Are you sure the 20man box contains the accessory sprue? I thought that had to be purchased separately (just included with the KS rewards).

Celebratory drinking, or were the models so disappointing they drove you into the bottle?

Also, this post is extra ironic because the models are shipping out of Utah.

Every 20 man box from the KS has the accessories sprue included for free. I do not believe it is included in the retail box, and is only for sale separately. If that's correct, I think the 3+ box counts amount to a 50% savings over retail, which is awesome for those who backed it.

KS backers get the full retail box of the Stormtrooper Accessory Set with each 20 man box set, plus free or deeply discounted shipping.. so yes. it is a great return on investment for the KS backers

He was so sad that he could have their awesomeness on the table "RIGHT NAO" that he started sad-drinking. Then he realized he would have them soon, and started party-drinking. Then he realized he had to get pictures for the Internet and went back to sad-drinking. Three drinking sessions in a night leads to some nasty hangovers.

Is the free flea market at the Muster going to let us see the WGF booth? I might make the trip in that case, but I'm not a fan of paying gas and $20 to see something I'll get in a week or two anyway...

Whoops, meant to say double the troops, not half the price! (It made sense in my head.. )

And finally...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
My camera's flash like super highlighted the mold linesto an exaggerated degree. There was only marginal mold lines in reality, even after running my fingers along the sprues (ooh la la).

I love the tiny little straps connecting the front/back leg armor plates together.

So a box of the 20 heavies, which would make excellent Spess Muhreens, will still be a lot cheaper than 2 boxes of the official models.

I smell count-as in the air... Not that I want Grey Knights. It's just that Mark is forcing me to make them!
